A bunch of us in Colorado are planning a group cruise for Feb 20, 1993.
We got a great group rate and can include a few more people in our group.

   The cruise line: Celebrity Cruises, one of the best cruise lines today.

   The ship: Horizon. 46,800 tons, 682 feet long.

   The cabin: Category 8, outside cabin with large window.

   The itinerary (7 nights): San Juan, Martinique, Barbados, St. Lucia,
   Antigua, St. Thomas, San Juan.

   The date: February 20, 1993.

   The price per person (including air travel, bus to ship, all meals,
   all shows, bus back to airport): 1992 regular price is $1780, 1993
   price may be higher, our group price is $1330.  Third and fourth person
   is $795.
	
   The savings: $480 per person, $960 per couple. (higher savings if 1993
   prices go up as expected).

   Taxes: All applicable taxes add up to $90 per person.

   Payments: A deposit of $125 per person is reqired by September 1st

    Both my wife and I (together with our 1 year old baby) are looking to
    take our first cruise around the same time as this offer, visiting
    similar places. The only problem is that we wanted deal just for the 
    cruise i.e. we would book our own flights from the UK, spend a week or so 
    sight-seeing and then take the cruise - can we do it like this, 
    just pay for the cruise and still take advantage of the discount or does 
    it have to be the full package from Colorado ?
    
    Failing that, what are the chances of just turning up in Florida and 
    booking a 7 day cruise - is it always best to pre-book especially in
    Feb., I saw a previous note which mentions discounts for late/cancelled 
    bookings, would you normally be OK to rely on that ?
