226.0. "S.S.Norway ?" by HAVOC::NOLAN () Tue Aug 21 1990 15:12

    I just read note 225 re: the Monarch replacing the S.S. Norway
    because it will be in dry dock from Oct. - Jan. We are interested
    in taking the cruise that the Norway currently offers, Miami,
    St. John, St. Maarten, St. Thomas and 4 days at sea. Has anyone
    taken this cruise on the Norway ? We are planning on going in
    February of 1991, has anyone gone to that area in that timeframe,
    if so, please clarify what the weather was.

    Note 225 states "Song of Norway" not S.S. Norway. Two different ships.

226.3Norway Re-furbFPTVX1::URONISThu Aug 30 1990 03:0112
    We just sailed on the Norway the week of Aug 4th. This is our second
    time on the Norway in 18 months. The Norway will be in dry dock for a
    major overhaul with two new decks being added and a 6000 sq ft roman
    spa. The ship will not be in dry dock but 6 to 8 weeks. Call NCL direct
    to confirm this. It was very easy to get discounts on the Norway before
    but the demand may be up with the re-furb. Feb. is a great time for
    cruising. The itinery is good but no one was impressed with St. Mateen.
    there are a million things I could share with you but i type too slow.
    If you're interested give me a call at DTN 384-5111. I can tell you how
    to save some big bucks with NCL.

        I would also love to know how to save big bucks.
    We are planning a cruise next fall for our 25th
    anniversary with a few other couples and would love
    to save as much as possible.
        My husband and I went on the Norway last spring
    and we booked out of California and saved quite a bit
    of money...But as I said before we need to save as much
    as we possibly can...
         Thanks in advance

    See note 220 for Info on the NCL Sea Saver Program. Remember that you
    can only determine availability of the Sea saver rooms for any given
    NCL ship 30 days prior to sailing. If you are flexible you can save
    money. Next best choice is to find a travel agent that has a large
    booking on the ship of choice. This type of booking will generally save
    you 10-25%.
