22.0. "Cutting Expences" by BOOVX2::B_ALLEN () Wed Aug 24 1988 01:59
These are some tips on how to save money on your cruise expences.
1. Get together with a group of people and arrange your own tours
in the ports of call you can up to 50% since the cruise line gets
a kick back.
2. In free port such as St Thomas don't just go to the stores that
the cruise line recommends but shop around and don't be afraid to
negotiate in the stores you can save as much as 40% by driving a
hard bargan.
3. In St Thomas the cheapest place to by liquor is F. W. Woolwoths
thats right the good old 5 & 10. Its not to Far from the docks and
the taxi ride is wooth the savings. They even box the liquor for
you.
4. In San Juan there are two places to buy rum cheep. The first
is the Pueblo Super market in Old San Juan and the second is Pepins
which is a small store in the Condado. 3 liters for $15.00.
If anyone else has any hints of saving money please respond.
