8.0. "CARIBBEAN CRUISE INFO" by KOALA::FAMULARO (Joe, ZKO3-2T43, DTN381-2565) Mon Aug 08 1988 20:45

I highly recommend you pickup a book titled,

	Caribbean Ports of Call
		by
		 Kay Showker

If you can't find it at the bookstore the publisher is 'The Globe Pequot
Press', 138 West Main Street, Chester, Connecticut 06412.

The book is comprised of four sections...

Part One introduces you to the particular pleasures of the Caribbean,
including its history and culture as well as its many attractions, and of
cruising itself - the ideal way to become acquainted with the enjoyment of
a vacation-at-sea. The section offers tips on traveling with children,
cruising with your family, taking a cruise for a honeymoon and other special
occasions.

Part Two provides advice to guide you in selection and buying your cruise, with
information on ways to save money on your cabin, no matter which ship you
select. There are also suggestions on what you should know before you go, as
you get ready for you trip.

Part Three has a detailed guide to each cruise line, designed to help you find
the line and ship most likely to match your tastes and pocketbook. A
convenient chart at the end of the section shows which cruise lines and ships
stop at the various posts of call. The range of prices is indicated also.

Part Four covers the ports of call offered on the majority of Bahamas and
Caribbean cruises. For easy reference, an alphabetical list of ports of call
follows the Table of Contents.

Every aspect of Caribbean cruising is covered. I've not found
a more complete and enjoyable reading book about cruising. It proved
especially helpful to us in planning what we'd do in each port we visited,
several of them the same ones in the itinerary you specified.

I'm sure you'll find it helpful also.

Joe
