930.0. "Serial printers and flow control" by NETRIX::"adrian@imlost.stl.dec.com" (Adrian Morrisson) Tue Apr 08 1997 09:14

Hi.
I have a customer running DU3.2B and we are trying to set up a serial
printer. We've had no problems setting the printer up but we can not get print

jobs to stay in the queue if the printer is turned off.
ie
When printer is offline, not connected or turned off, any printjobs sent there

vanish after some time. lpstat command shows " no entries".
Is this normal behaviour for 3.2? I can fix it under 4.0 with the stty
-crtscts
option but this doesn't help me with 3.2

This is the printcap I am usingser|lp8:\
