915.0. "Maximum number of entries in printqueue?" by NETRIX::"gunnar.beets@ugo.mts.dec.com" (Gunnar Beets) Tue Feb 25 1997 17:58

Hi,

This topic were discussed in note 589 which became CFS.31820(patched lpr).
Has the number of entries in a printqueue been raised over the limit of 1000?
My problem is with 3.2D. Maybe some later version has a higher limit?

Regards

Gunnar

The bug where print jobs were being overwritten was patched in V3.2,
then fixed in V4.0.

The need for queues that can hold more than 1000 jobs is a new feature
that must be sent to product management. The product manager for printing
on Digital Unix is Ernie Johnston. He can be reached at johnston@zk3.dec.com,
or quarry::johnston

Richard Hart.
