I am trying to configure a 2501 with TCP/IP over x25. The remote router is
connected to a different carrier for the x25 service. When configuring the
x25 map for the IP address to the DTE of the remote router I have encounter
an address problem.
Remote IP Address 196.39.129.1
Remote DTE 031344152402800
The local carrier tell me that to initiate the inter carrier call I need to
put a leading 1 on the DTE address.
When I do the x25 map command i get and invalid DTE address because the
address field is exceeded.
x25 map IP 194.39.129.1 1031344152402800
invalid command
x25 map IP 194.39.129.1 1031344152402800

is there some way of telling the router interface that this is an
inter-carrier call and to insert the leading 1.

Have you tried taking the trailing 00's as these are the default sub-address anyway e.g x25 map IP 194.39.129.1 10313441524028 also have you checked whether the other end requires this? regards Steve Gifkins [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] | |||||
