Hello,
The weather should be very nice towards the end of April. If you
have any real concerns about the possibilty of rain you may want to
look into rain insurance. Did you book the Golf vacation yourself or
did you go through a Travel agency?? Check into the option of ins.
by either calling Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday or having your agent set it
up. I believe it was 10-15 dollars per day (that was 2 years ago).
Good Luck,
ED

Was down there last weekend. Too cold to even sit in the
" OUTSIDE " hottub, had to use the one inside. Temps and
weather there vary week to week, day to day, but do expect
to use a sweater if teeing off in the early a.m.

| I usually go in mid-late January, but haven't gone last year, or this year.
The last time I was there in January was 1994, and it was a 5 day vacation.
We had 36 holes planned everyday, so we had the 1st tee times, along with
a late tee time at a neighboring course.
Thursday was our 1st day, we played 36 holes at the Pearl. Low 50s and
drizzly. Not great, but we could deal with it.
Friday we played Buck Creek and Long Bay. Buck Creek was mid 40s at tee off,
and we had a bout of DOWNPOURING rains for about 2-3 holes. Long Bay was
still 40s, but sunny. Great course. Cold when we finished.
Saturday was Ocean Harbour and Oyster Bay. Mid 30s at tee off time at OH,
and it didn't get much better. Cold and windy. OB was still cold and
windy. Great courses, but the cold wind sucked.
Sunday was Legends Moorland and Heathland (we had played Parkland the year
before and after getting killed by the course, we decided to give it a year
off). At 6am, it was 16 degrees! Coldest in MB history, for January! We
eventually played just Moorland, and it never got above 32. And Moorland is
pretty open, so it was brutally windy.
Monday was our last day, and just the Heritage was planned. Of course, it
was 65 and sunny on this day...
Great fun, though.
Anyone have any experiences with the Dupont World Amateur, in August?

| re: .4 too cold to sit in the outdoor hottub
aw c'mon...after a day of skiing at Sugarloaf, we always sit in the
outdoor hottub, even when it's below 0. Pretty interesting, sitting in
100+ degree water, and ice in your hair :-)

The problem was that the hot tub could not keep it's heat
up to par. It bordered around 95 degrees, way to cold for
the outside air. We had to suffer and use the inside one :-)
