1956.0. "Titleist DCI Irons" by MINGLE::CHESTNUT () Wed Oct 12 1994 13:41

Anyone have any experience with Titleist DCI irons? How do you like
    them?

I got a set of the Titleist DCI irons earlier this summer.

I am much more confident standing over the ball than I was in the past.
Sure I still mishit shots, but new clubs can't overcome a really bad
    swing.

I selected these - after hitting several name brands - because I liked
the way the ball came off the club face. The ball gets up in the air
quickly, goes higher than my previous irons, and usually settles more
    softly.

My handicap dropped about 5 strokes which I attribute to the clubs as
well as my willingness to go to the practice range, since I wanted my
    "investment" to pay dividends.

Good luck in your selection process.

Thanks for the info, I have tried hitting them at the pro shop and
really like them. Maybe my game will improve too!!

Hi, I bought a set of DCIs gold last year. Previously I played with
a forged tour blade and wanted a perimeter weighted club with a
different lie. Pings were out as they appear to large for me
when I address the ball. My choice was between the 845 Tommy Armour
or the DCIs. I went with the DCI and I'm not sorry. I hit the
ball much cleaner, don't create as much of a divot when I hit the ball,
and it usually goes where I aim, which I think is my problem, but
    that is for another day.

As .2 stated practice is also important. To knock stroke off, you
need to hit lots of golf balls and play 36 to 54 holes a week.

    Good luck in your choice.
