1655.0. "Golf in Disney" by DWOMV2::JOHNSON () Wed Mar 17 1993 17:18

    	I am traveling to Walt Disney World in May and intend on playing
    golf while I am down there. Does anyone have any information on the
    courses within the resort area. I realize the cost i s high but would
    like to play at least one of the courses. Please recommend one of the 5
    courses and the general condition of them. I understand that they are
    really good courses.

    	Any info. is much appreciated !!

1655.1Great golfing at DisneyFCCVDE::GARRITYThu Mar 18 1993 12:1411

    About 3 years ago I played 2 courses at Disney. The Magnolia and the
    Palm. Both were excellent courses with lots of water and sand. I think
    the Magnolia was the longer of the 2. Like anything at Disney it may
    cost extra $ but you will not be dissapointed. Since I was there they
    added 2 courses and one of those courses is a links course. I would
    imagine that both of those courses are as good if not better. Greens
    Fees were $65 with cart, which is not unreasonable when you consider
    it cost $45 to play Stowe on the weekend with a cart.

    There are now five courses at Disney. The three older Magnolia, Palm
    and Buena Vista and two new Osprey Ridge and Eagle Pines. The greens
    fees at the older is $75 and the new $85 both include cart. My
    favorite is the Palm or Osprey Ridge, but all are in fantastic
    condition. Also there are plenty of off disney golf that can be had
    for less money. See note 1401 or drop me a line, Mike Sivret @ORO.
1655.3Info on golfing at Disney?ROCK::AD::SMITHFri Mar 31 1995 17:2837

I have a golf trip to Disney World planned for the
last week of April and I was wondering if anyone
here could comment on the courses and any other info
about playing down there. I have been to Disney before
but have never played the golf courses. I plan to spend
one afternoon at the "park" and the remainder of the time
on the courses. We have a group of 12 of us who golf every
April in Hilton Head(usually), Myrtle Beach, and now for the
first time Disney.
I can not remember exaclty where we are staying but it is in
Disney and I am told we get unlimited golf in the park.

Schedule is:
Wed  Morning:   Fly
Wed  Afternoon: Osprey Ridge

Thur Morning:   Magnolia
Thur Afternoon: OPEN

Fri  Morning:   Palm
Fri  Afternoon: Lake Buena Vista

Sat Morning: Southern Dunes (Outside of Disney)
Sat  Afternoon: OPEN

Sun  Morning:   Osprey Ridge
Sun Afernooon:  Fly

What I was wondering is if anyone has played or has info on the
other course at Disney, Eagle Pines? Or the 9 hole course?
I would like to add one of these 2 in on one of the open afternoons.
Anyone ever played the Southern Dunes course?

Any info is appreciated,
