I will be heading down to Florida for the first week of February for R
& R spelled GOLF. We will be staying by Sarasota in a place called
longboat kies???
I'm looking for the names of some courses down there to play. We will
drive to get to some and hope someone knows of some places. While I am
ready to pay I would also like to get any deals if possible. Does
anyone know of any golf cards ect I might purchase or where to call to
get info????? Hope someone can help.

The correct name of the place is Longboat Key. Sarasota and the
surrounding Keys (Longboat, Siesta & Bird) are beautiful not to mention
an abundance of quality courses. Two courses that I have played a few
years ago are Meadows and Bent Tree (formerly a stop on the LPGA tour).
If memory serves me correctly, I believe there are a number of courses
in the area that currently host LPGA & PGA Senior Tour events. Also,
there is Longboat Key CC right on the key that is accessible from a #
of the hotel and or condominiums complexes.
In the back of Golf Digest, there is usually advertisements for courses
and phone # in the Sarasota area.
