    ping golf clubs ~$600.00 (2-sw)
dozen golf balls ~25.00 (brand name)
    gloves ~15.00
    bag (ping carry) ~85.00
daily green fee ~50.00 (seasonal price fluctuation, cart not
                              included)

buy the clubs. use them while you are here. rental availibility will
    vary from course to course.

your best bet is to get a golf package. send away to the orlando
chamber of commerce or look into golf magazine (USA) for some deals.
If you want to play some of the courses the pros play it will cost
you and that's if you can even get on.

disney has some good golf courses.. grenlefe is nearby. it won't be
any problem getting on these courses in july but you will get a better
price if you get some sort of a package deal that includes cart
(mandatory on most florida courses). There are several notes in here on
    golf courses in florida.

See note 1401 for some info on Orlando golf if you need more drop me a
line. As far as equipment every golf shop carries Ping, for the Eye 2
around 62-72 a club and for the Zings 72-80 a club. You can always
pick up a used set of the eye 2 3-pw for around $300-$350 a set. Just
before you decide to come to Orlando get fitted at a local shop so you
know what color code, lie and loft you would be needing. If you are a
non standard type person you may want to place your order ahead. As
far as the list of courses in note 1401 the prices may be a little
lower due to summer rates. Also there is a new course opening Jan 11
called Falcon's Fire near disney $40 greens fees. I'll let you know
how it is. I can be reached at Mike Sivret @ORO.
1617.3Golf in Florida/Ping PricesASDS::ELLIOTTThu Feb 04 1993 13:1614
My husband is a golf professional playing in Florida this winter. He
said that a few of the courses are Orange Lake Resort in Kissimee,
Cypress Creek in Orlando, one that is very unusual for Florida because
it is hilly is Palisades Country Club in Clermont which is about 20
miles outside of Orlando off of Route 50 West. He doesn't know the
prices but they are very reasonable for Florida. Also, the retail cost
of ping irons is usually around between $600 and $800 at most courses,
but the pro at Westminster Country Club in Westminster Mass, Tom
Richardson will sell you a set between $485 to $575. Golf Balls
usually run around $25 a dozen for top quality balls.

If we can be of any other help, just let me know. My husband, Michael
will be teaching at the Sterling/Chocksett Driving Range in Sterling,
Mass this summer if you are in need of lessons as well.
1617.4Palisades best Price PerformanceSONATA::FEENEYnon golfers live half a lifeFri Feb 05 1993 19:378
I played the Palisades last February. It was the best value. We played
every day 36 holes of which two days was at the palisades for the week.
Itwas the only course we went back to. Hunters Creek was the best
course we played and the most expensive although it was worth it. You
got to hit'em big their especially if it is wet and you don't get a
    roll.
