1444.0. "Montana Course Info needed" by CGOOA::DANYLUK () Wed Feb 05 1992 18:05

    Looking for info on courses in the flathead valley (Kalispell,
    Montana), to be specific anybody played at Meadow lake or
    Eagle Bend and if so how early do these courses open.

    ECA...you know this stuff. I have played this course a few times and
    consider it a nice Public course. Not long, not narrow, but requires
    some shot selection because of dog legs, water etc. Rough can be
    demoralizing and the danger is that the "openness" can entice you into
    banging away.

    Hi,

    EagleBend is a very nice course probably the nicest in the area. I
    would guess that regular greens would open in April but it depends on
    the winter as to what shape they would be in.

    Meadow Lake I've played on and it's an average to good course, pretty
    hilly.

    Kalispell has Buffalo Hills which is a very nice course like EagleBend
    and is always rated as one of the Best in Montana and much cheaper than
    EagleBend.

    Hope this helps,  Jim
1444.3Spring is Early in MontanaCGOOA::DURNINWed Apr 22 1992 01:1410
    Hi,

    The current info on the Flathead Valley area is that they go on regular
    greens before April. I just spoke with someone who was down in Montana
    recently (mid April) and played on very good quality greens.

    I wish I could say the same for up here as we just went on regular
    greens last weekend.
