1361.0. "New BUZZ word!" by FLYSQD::MONTVILLE () Tue Sep 10 1991 12:41

I had an opportunity to play a round this past weekend at New
Seabury on Cape Cod. The new "BUZZZZZZZ" word in golf at the Cape
is BEEEEEEEEEEES, BEEEEEEEEEES and more BEEEEES. It appears that
their nest were destroyed during hurricane Bob and they are just
    everywhere.

BEE (;') aware.....if any outdoor activity look out for dem bee's!

    	Bob....

How was the course? I had heard that 3-5 holes got washed out, and
bull dozers were used to get sand off the fairways...

Is this true? reason I ask is that we are planning our annual Cape
golf trip, and New Seabury was one we are planning on. Someone said
there was 1-2 par 4's that were playing as par 3's cause of the
    	damage ?

The course(s) report. The Green course (inside) was the one
we played. First, the Green course is in excellent shape...there
are a few trees down along fairways, but they will have them cleared
    in no time.

There are only 9 holes opened on the Blue course. What we were
told is that they lost three fairways (completly), 1 significant
damage and two greens complete. I agree, it looked like they were
building a city there was so much heavy equipment around. They
did not give us a projected time to complete the Blue course.

However, depending on how well you golf the Green course is plenty
    challenging.

I hope they can get the Blue course back into shape. The first 5 holes are
probably some of the best around.

I've played both and to paraphrase Bentsen, "I've played the Blue course,
the blue course is a friend of mine, Green course you're no blue course"...

However it was a good track to play with my high handicapper wife after
subjecting her to the punishment of the Blue course...to help restore her
confidence.

    	Thanks for the update.

I've played both courses also. The green course doesn't compare
with the blue... there are some holes on the blue course which
run along the ocean which are (were) a thing of beauty... The
green course is a very nice course though...

    	my opinion...
