1330.0. "1991 U.S. Senior Open" by MAST::FITZPATRICK (Juuuust a bit outside.) Mon Jul 29 1991 19:36

What? No mention of the U.S. Senior Open before now? Even as I write
this, Jack and Chi-Chi are in the midst of an 18-hole playoff to decide
    the championship.

Chi-Chi missed a birdie putt on 17 that would have given him the lead,
but then came back and hit an amazing approach shot on 18. The ball
started way right then came back and, with a little help from a hill,
rolled to about 5 ft from the pin. It was one of the most amazing
shots I've seen, especially considering the huge bunker that was right
in line with the pin. Of course, this time he made the birdie, giving
him the lead. I think they said it was only the 4th birdie made on 18
    all day.

While Chi-Chi was wow-ing them on the 18th, Jack hit a beautiful shot
straight at the pin on the par-3 17th. It ended up about 4 ft from the
cup. He made the birdie, putting him in a tie with Chi-Chi. The Merry
Mex took a bogie on 17 that dropped him out of contention.

Jack played it safe on 18, putting his second shot safely on the green,
but quite a ways from the cup. He missed the birdie putt that would
have won the tournament by less than a foot, and went on to make the
    par.

I sure wish I could be watching the playoff!
