380.0. "Rain Gear" by MSD27::FITZPATRICK (God must love crazy people...) Thu Sep 01 1988 15:09

    Hi,

I understand that it's been raining a lot in Scotland, so I
wanted to buy some rain gear before I go over there next week.
Can anyone suggest a particular type or a place to get it in the
greater Boston (ie, not too far from Acton/Maynard)?

    Thanks,
    -Tom

Try New England Golf Supply on Rt. 20 in Marlboro, about 1/2 mile
east of Rt 495. I just bought one Dunlop PGA rain suit at $49.95. A
similar suit in Stow Acres was about $10-15 more.

Or there is Nevada Bob's at various parts of Eastern Mass that you
could try. I got one there earlier (in the spring) for $25. It was
cheap, it was light blue and it was very light. I have only had
to wear it once and it kept me dry.

Or if you're ever in Moscow, there's a shop that's run by a guy
named Rudolf, and you can buy foul weather clothing there. He's a
loyal communist, so the motto of his shop is:

"Rudolf the Red Knows Rain Gear"

       With regret,

One morning I had a round planned with my friend Rudolf with red
hair and beard. My wife argued that it was too wet out to play
so I said we'll leavy it up to Rudy.

    Naturally he said PLAY.
My wife said "What's he know"? And naturally I responded...
