| I think Dynamic Gold are made to more exact standards, i.e when it
comes to frequency matching, consistency in steel quality etc. And
they are, of course, more expensive...

| I believe .1 is correct on Gold shafts. A dynamic gold shaft though
only runs about $5.00 (about $1.00 more than regular).
Cord grips are the same as the regular green vic's, but have cord
(sort of like soft string) laid into them in the molding process.
This cord then protrudes slightly from the surface and enhances
feel and grip (my opinion). Cord crips are slightly more expensive
but worth it.
If you are going to make clubs, a good place to start would be to
obtain a copy of "The GolfWorks" catalog. This is an excellent
company owned by Ralph Maltby that has all the supplies, equipment,
shafts, heads, etc. that you'll need. They also do repairs and
restorations very nicely. The catalog contains alot of useful
information, even if you aren't interested in clubmaking.

I'm planning on making a set of clubs using Brunswick FM (6.5) shafts,
ping-alike heads, rubber grips, and 6 extra layers of tape to build
up grip 1/16". Any comments on what swingweight I'll get versus
what I want? Pings are around C6-7... my ping-alike heads are around
that, my lighter weight shafts will reduce that, my grip tape will
reduce it more, but my grip is light so that will increase it (confused
yet?). Thus, I expect to come out a little less than C6-7.
With a stiff shaft, I thought you wanted more like a D0-D6. But
Ping has started this light swing weight trend, so what should I
do? Only swingweight them up to C6-7 (if necessary) or take them
up to D0 or so?
