Sold all the cars, but now that I am moving back to the Southwest,
it is only a matter of time. Still have the Harley , Triumph and
Yamaha.
But it is time to get back into cars.

I presently own 4 older Pontiacs.

2 1969 GTO's, one I bought new back in 69, and take out on
weekends, the other one is a "parts car" for the first. I bought the
second one because the interior was the same color as the first, and
mechanically they were the same, 350hp,4sp,3.55posi.

2 1968 Tempest OHC 6cyl, again, one is a "parts car or the other.
My 19 yr. old daughter wanted to drive my GTO, we found the 1st 68 with
65k on it, in the proverbial chicken coop, bought it off an eldery man
who's wife had died 3 or 4 years before. I towed it home, got it
running, and my daughter has been driving it for 2 years now. It has
minimal rust and 83k on it now. I plan to repaint it come good weather.
I bought the parts car because it had another running OHC engine,(rare)

Previous Pontiacs, 1956 Starchief 2DR HDTP, factory 4bbl,dual exhaust
and 4sp hydramatic. Nice car, would like to find another one.

1964 Catalina 2DR HDTP, another nice car, had tri-power etc.

I currently own a 71 Mustang with a 351c. The motor has
had some work done on it and I try to continually improve the
output through experimentation and modification. The body was
done about five years ago by myself and a friend and is starting
to show signs of wear again. As time/funds permit I hope to
redo the body correctly. The interior has all new goodies except
the seats which aren't bad.
I'd like to see a musclecar Confab or more musclecars at a
carbuffs confab. I'm also interested in meeting some of the noters
from my area.
I enjoy driving my cars in a spirited manner especially when
someone alongside is just as spirited :-). I hope to make it
up to NED this year but it is kinda far for a 20yr old to go.
Unless of course some other Gardner area noters want to go too.

1991 Nissan Sentra SE-R - Not a muscle car by any stretch, but 140
horses in that light body make for pretty
good power to weight! A ball to drive
and 30+ MPG too!

Past:

1968 Impala SS 427 - Purchased in Oakland Maine for the princely
sum of $1,300. Body was excellent,
undercarriage perfect - Marina Blue with
black and a 4 speed too. Yes, I wish I still
had it - Chris busts my Butt about selling
it too.

1987 Mustang LX 5.0 - Bought before Ford decided to price the
5.0 out of sight (paid $9954 through Mass
buying power) Added 3.73 gears and some
other tricks learned in this file (air
silencer removal, throttle body heat block
-off, etc.) and this car moved!

Hey Tom, isn't your cougar a convertarat? Guess what, they started
repro-ing those pollution pipes for the 428 so I am all set on
the busted one. Is your heat shield still off the car?

I still have the same stuff from that I had last time I had to type
this in.

69 Shelby GT500 - White on White. 428CJ-auto. Had the body dipped
and Iam waiting for the body-rotator to come in so the bottom of the
car can be detailed. Doing something the "right way" is costing me a
fortune so it probably won't be finished until at least next year.

70 Boss 302 - Grabber Blue on black. Bought this from a fellow deci who
mentioned it when he saw the picture of my Shelby.

68 HEMI Charger - Green on White. it's an original 55K mile car with
no (really none) rust. Needs paint.

I would love to find a Boss429 or a 442-w30 convt or a 66/67 Goat
Convt. I could use a ragtop for the summer.

Pretty good shape, but needs expensive minor stuff, you know,

equipment for this is compared to a newer car.. Oh well, I knew it

This is probably a good place to make my entry seeing as how I have
the same as -1:

1968 Firebird 400 4 speed posi.

Doesn't have the original engine though. Some time in the past, it
went out in a blaze of glory at the race track and was replaced with a
Chev 350:-( !

Anyway, the body and everyting else is in real fine shape and I'd
like to be able to put an original RAII engine back in but at 4K core
charge, I don't think I'll be doing that. Rather, I am planning to
build a 12:1 BB,PP custom cammed *Killer* 455! The designer I'm working
with says that it'll be a 790HP engine. "Not enough?" he says? "Add
nitrous or a blower"

It'll be fun.

First: Finland is situated in northern Europe.
Now; I see you wonder: could there be any muscle cars near the North
Pole????

Yes, there is! Though I myself don't at the moment have any US-made
vehicle, but two Volvo PV544s. One ('64) is in pieces at the moment
(hopefully soon on the road) and the other one ('63) is equipped with
Weber carburator and rallye cam and is quite fast piece of Swedish
steel.

There are plenty of US-car enthusiasts here in Finland, some of them in
DEC, also (Corvette from early 60's, vans, etc). Becouse our summer is
short, many cars are re-built during the winter and used for cruising
and racing in summers. A couple Finnish drag-racing teams are at the
moment racing in the USA.

Soon it will be summer and the vee-eights start roaming in the streets!

some more minor changes this season and see what happens.

It was a 6 year car, had no more to do so I sold it.
15.72/86.88mph was the best I could muster, won a trophy though. I was
up against a Grand National who Brokeout more than I did.

bored .60 over
9.5 to 1
Cam - Not sure but it had a nasty lobe
auto w/ shift kit
Headers

Never took to NED, I had it in for brake work and when the owner asked
the mechanic to bring it in he pulled in doing about 15 - 20 mph and
used the work bench to stop. Needless to say the radiator support was
ripped back, hood bent to shape of bench. They wouldn't fix it and I
was young so I said see ya.

Yeh, this is the new street weenie. Bob Christiano goaded
me into doing the QMI a couple weeks ago and by his own
admission, my 40 more HP was enough to squeek by his
supurb run with a first time out of 14.598 @97.77. Now,
of course he has gone back and tweeked his big red machine
with a few modest goodies and we will do a little benchmarking
on the 14th, weather permitting. Except for a new air
cleaner and routine maintenance, everything should be the
same as befor with my car.

What a HOOT! Shame on Bob! And to think I just bought this
Vett thinking it would be fun transportation to work.

So if you're at the NED on the 14th come watch him humiliate
the new kid on the block. Hey, skill should count for something.

Bought my '69 Cuda new in September of 1969. It's a gold
fastback, black interior, 383 4spd, "Cuda" package.

Ran 13.1's in late '69, early '70 with headers, tires, and .410 rear.

Later with engine bored to 400 ci, cam, high-rise manifold, AFB carb
ran 12.1's. This engine is gone; just wore it out.

Unfortunately the car was neglected for about 10 years due to lack of
interest. With interest renewed last year am having a 383 rebuilt and
the body fixed. Looking forward to making some noise again. :-)

I own a 1977 Chevy Blazer. Would be hard pressed to call it a muscle
car, but I've had its 350 rebuilt from scratch with parts from PAW,
including new heads and Edelbrock intake. TH350 has also been rebuilt
from scratch. I bought a Holley carb which I took off after a while
as its pleasure factor per $ of Gas was not enough.

I would call is adeqately performing. Not as peppy as my VW Golf GTI,
but much better than my Mercedes 300D station wagon.

Full size American cars are exceptionally rare here. Very very hard to
find spare parts. I buy 95% of my spare parts when I go on US business
trips.

a 7 Litre version with a supercharger + 2 turbochargers that pumps out

I have a 1968 Olds 442 that I'm in the process of restoring...

A bit of an interesting story goes with it... My Mom and Dad bought the
car brand-new in '68 (I was 4, at the time.) and it was our "family
car" for years. When I got into high school, I took the car over and it
was what I drove up 'til I got out of college. I then got into buying
Lincolns and Limos (that's another story) but still kept this baby.
It held tremendous sentimental value for me, and I had developed an intense
emotional attachment to it, particularly since it has been a part of
our family for 24 years, now, ... and was such fun to drive!

Well, a little over a year ago I lent my car (one of dumbest things
I've done in my life!) to a friend for an evening, he lost control on
a sharp curve, slammed into a 4' high boulder, and I got it back totalled
(ie. bent frame, caved-in RR quarter, rear axle shifted 8", mag wheel
popped off the hub, ... you get the picture!). I only thank God that no
one was hurt or killed. The car appeared to be a total loss, however,
I vowed that I would rebuild it.

To make a long story short, I wound up doing a frame-up restoration on
it, actually went south and trailered up (yes, with a flat-bed on the back
of my Town Car, ... that was a sight!) a shell of a car from NC. I then
used the new frame and rear body-shell, and transplanted all that was
still good (and had been meticulously cared for) from my original car
(engine, drive train, front clip, steering, braking system, dash board,
instrumentation, ignition, interior trim, panels, seats, door locks,
wheels, chrome, emblems, etc., etc., etc.!) onto the new shell. At this
point, I've still got a way to go as far as detail work is concerned, but I
got it on the road last week! What a thrill to have (most of) my car
back! The one added "plus", by the way, is that I turned my car from a
post-coupe into a convertable, while I was at it. I'm now looking
forward to finishing this up, getting the final paint job, and being
able to once again enjoy this car, ... for the rest of my life!

... and, believe me! I'll not turn these keys over to ANYONE (except
maybe my two great friends Matt and Jamie (two kids in the Scout Troop
I run) who have been with me every step of the way!

Have fun, folks! And, live your dreams!

I just entered this notesfile and haven't really read anything
yet. Since I am planning to restore a couple of cars very, very
soon, however, and especially since I will likely be TFSO'ed in the
next group of 10,000, I thought I'd look around to see what
wisdom I can get before I can't anymore...

Without mentioning "car accomplishments," (of which I have
one or two,) I'll simply mention that the two cars I want to
restore are both 1966 Comet Cyclones. One is a convertible
with a 289 (originally my father's,) and the other (the one
I want to restore right away) is a GT (engine-less, transmission-less,
and rearend-less.) The GT was intended as a parts car a decade ago
(I've had it that long) but I realized about two years ago that it'd
be worth far more if I restore it (it originally cost me $60 and
the rear end went into the convertible, so the money investment so
far is zero.) The GT will need a total restore, and some pieces
of body, interior, etc., are missing.
I tinker with cars here and there but I'm only a fan when the
mood strikes me. There are other things that I enjoy more...
but, in any case, as I see things that interest me, I will
read/study/ask...and if someone has something to volunteer to me,
I'll gladly listen.

Thanks,
Frederick

Hi ya'll,

Mad Mike Maciolek checking in from Alpharetta (Atlanta) Georgia.
Past rides:
75 Nova
77 Camaro
70 Rally Sport Camaro (FAST - Extreamly)
Some stoned SOB slammed into this car. He paid me $2500 bucks,
and I sold it for $1500. I wish I had it back. The speedometer
in the car went to 160 mph. I had it there - once.

Current
90 Cavalier
91 Mazda (wifes car - witch)
454 Engine (FOR SALE) in a 74 Chevelle (engine cradle).

1980 Z28 Camaro. I bought it in 1985 from a dealer in Springfield
Mass. The car has had many engines in it. After I exploded my
LT-1 355 small block, I figured I'd go the big block route. I
bought a 454 out of a utility truck and stuck it in. Fits nice.
It has a Edelbrock Performer manifold, Comp Cam (radical), Holley
850, Hooker 1 3/4 headers. It has a 4.11 rear, with a TH350
tranny (not for long!) I went hunting yesterday. This car is
brutal. I just sneeze and the car goes sideways.

I may own all Chevys, but any muscle car has my respect.

Well after a few years of reading and occasional writing to this notes file I
guess it's time that I register. I'm Mike Callander and work/live in Hudson
Ma. My current "muscle" is a '91 Mustang GT that loves to head north to NED
on Wednesday nights.....

Past Cars:(not much muscle)

1963 Buick Special Convertible - anemic little 6, but a good 1st car
1970 Buick Wildcat w/ 455 - My mothers car when I was in high school, fast.
very fast. My father sold it after about a year,
don't think he liked me "borrowing" it all the
time. Something about the rear tires going bald
so fast :-)
1975 Impala - 1st and only Chevy, killed three 307's before I got smart and
put a 350 in it.
1984 Buick Regal - not to interesting...

Current Cars:

1986 Ford Escort Wagon - My wife's "old" car, now my winter car
1986 Buick Park Ave. - My wife's "new" car, nice car for those long trips with
the kids.
1991 Mustang GT - see above

Future Cars:

Some day when I've got the time and money would really like to build up
a mid-60's Buick or Chevy with a big block. But, before that happens my
wife says I have to buy her a vette! She likes the luxury of the new cars,
and I could live with one of those new LT-1 engines. But, a red '69
convertible with a 427 would be real nice :-)

5.82A Swedish Viking.....SWETSC::NORDSTROMA Swedish VikingWed Aug 19 1992 03:2935
Hi !

I'm a Swedish guy that's very interested in american muscle cars.
I own a '69 Mach 1 with a 351 Windsor in it. I'm in the process
of restoring the car and I'm aiming at building a little bit of
a street/strip car.

I've bought DART II heads and I'm now in the process of choosing
the other parts for my engine. It is not easy with all parts out
there so if anyone knows of a good combination to recommend I
would appreciate a mail.

I aim at 10:1 comp ratio, rough idle, up to 6000-6500 rpm and
perhaps a Super power shot NOS system on top of that, any comments ??

Here in Sweden the interest for old american cars is very big.
I live in a little town way up north in Sweden, very close to the
polar circle. In our little town we have a little car club that
has managed to get hold of a nice garage where we have our "pearls".

In our garage we have:

My '69 Mach 1, two '67 Firebird Cab, one with a 326 and with a 400,
'65 Mustang HT 302, '32 Ford hot rod, '69 Camaro SS 396, '70 Firebird
400, '66 Le Mans 400 and an International Scout.

As you all understand it is not very easy for us to get parts to our
cars. So if anyone out there has good contacts with junkyards, speed
shops and also specialty stores for our cars we would be very glad
for a mail. Reliable contacts "over there" are like gold to us.

I am following this conference with great pleasure, so I'll be seeing
you here and in the DRAG_RACING conference.

Regards, Richard Nordstrom

PROJECT. MY SON BOUGHT A 70 CHALLENGER WITH 318/2V/AUTO. THE CAR IS IN
PRETTY GOOD CONDITION. BODY IS STRAIGHT WITH MINOR RUST BEHIND REAR WHEELS,
TOP LOOKS NEW. THE INTERIOR IS FAIR BUT WILL PROBABLY BE GUTTED AND REDONE.

SON HAS NOT DECIDED WHETHER TO REMAKE ORIGINAL OR BEEF UP. SOME OF HIS
THOUGHTS ARE:

1. BEEF UP 318 WITH 340 HEADS, CAM, 4 BARREL INTAKE.

2. REPLACE ENGINE WITH 383. [BROTHER-IN-LAW HAS ONE FROM SUPERBEE. CAM GEAR
LET GO AN DID MINOR DAMAGE. WOULD NEED COMPLETE REBUILD AND TRY TO STUFF
INTO FRONT OF CHALLENGER. [DON'T KNOW WHAT NEEDS TO BE MODIFIED TO FIT

71 Satellite 318
72 Sport Satellite 383
84 Z-28 305 HO

The Roadrunner was a damn fine example of the muscle car era, I really
regret letting that one go. It was a load of fun in high school when me
and my buddies were always trying to be top dog. They were running 396
Chevelles and 428 Mustangs. Seems we always traded the number one spot
on a regular basis. Won several trophies at the strip and local show
and shines. Beautiful car that was painted a bright orange Imron with a
perfect interior and only 55k on the clock when I parted with it.
The Satellites all were turned into oval track racers in some way
shape or form. It seems sad now to think that I really tore up some
semi collectable cars for that, but they were cheap and I was on a
budget. All the parts during teardowns did go into other peoples
restorations, so I can take some pride in knowing that they died
allowing others to live on in better condition.
The Z was a desprate attempt at late model muscle. Was a fun car to
drive, but I got tired of looking like every other Joe Blow and a bad
marraige had it gone before long.

I hope to pick up another genuine muscle era Mopar in the next couple
of years. Muscle cars are one of those things that gets in your blood
and never leaves, and I'm needing a fix. Would like to pick up a 68 or
70 B body Plymouth for just cruising around. But I'm beginning to
ramble...

Of all the past muscle, I loved the 64SS409 and the 64 GP the best.
The GP used to surprise quite a few people. At the time kids were
heavily into 55-7 chevies and early novas with hot 327's. They'd pull
up next to that big boat, give THE nod and all they'd get is a good
look at my taillights, way in the distance. I'm most sorry about
selling the 64 SS. The car was mint and I never really beat on it.
Just a foolish kid that saw something else he wanted. Seeing them
advertised now at 30K for like condition vehicles I guess I'll
have to enjoy someone elses at car shows.
The AMX was fast but you could never get it to hook up.

I finally got my Camaro to the track (PMI) two weeks ago and made
3 passes. The best was 12.05 @ 110mph , but had a minor complication
which ended the test session. Last week with the problem corrected
the best for the day was 12.11 @ 111mph on a .536 reaction time.

Hope to make one more time before the end of the season..

I quess i'll reply here, mostly a mopar freak, but I always end up
buying a ford. I guess I'm just asking for trouble. I'm looking for
another muscle car to get my self in trouble with. got my eye on a
cougar eliminator with the 429 scj. I just have to convince the present
owner to sell me it.

past rides:

1968 ford torino coup GT 390cid
1969 ford mustang GT fastback 351cid (428 original)
1975 mustang 302cid (previous owner built the hell out it)
.030 over 9" rear end with 3.96 gears 4sp. suspension to go with it
all. Car flew. Other wise it wouldn't belong here.
1968 road runner 383cid. drunk driver hit it hard never to driven again
had it for 2 weeks. wasn't happy at all.

RE: 5.109

The Cougar Eliminator was a two year offering, 1969-70.
It never was offered with the 429 CJ/SCJ.
The engine options for either year were:

302 4V (Boss 302) "G" code in VIN #
351W 4V (290 HP) "M" Code in VIN #
390 4V (320 HP) "S" Code in VIN #
428CJ 4V (335 HP) "Q" Code in VIN # (Non-Ram Air)
428CJ 4V (335 HP) "R" Code in VIN # (Ram Air)

Either Q or R code Cougars were available with the Drag-pak option,
which got you the 428SCJ. Look in the Cougar topic for Drag-pak
spotters tips. An easy tip off is the external oil cooler (Mounted
on the drivers side of the radiator support), and the driver's side
horn moved to the passenger side of the radiator support. Axle gears
for drag-paks are 3.91 or 4.30 only. Automatic or 4 speeds were
available.

Contact me off-line about this Cougar. I own a `69 R-code and have
learned a lot about these cars over 6 years of ownership.

Finally got my dream car. 68 Camaro SS 350, and just my luck, it's
chromed out, braided out and has the cleanest body and interior I've
ever seen. Still, It could use a more modern paint job, plus a few
little details here and there. The car showed in the Cavalcade of
Customs about 7 years ago, where I drooled over it then, hence the
custom paint job that is still clean but could use updated. But the
drooling is over and the driving has begun! As Wayne said in "Wayne's

If I'm not mistaken, your 87 mustang already has a set of headers
on it. I'd say it's crapping out for a different reason.

I suppose it could be fuel delivery, ignition, and maybe a potato
in your catalytic converter. Maybe you could leave your headers
intact and monkey with what's behind the collector.

5.13170 challenger almost doneSSDEVO::DELMONICOM_DelMonico "440's are forever"Thu Aug 18 1994 12:3639

Well the 70 Challenger project is almost done. Sorry I haven't entered
a note sooner, but have been very busy.

September 93 - With help from Eric Somers we put the new 360 moter and
tranny into the Challenger. Engine fired next day and came right up to
around 2200 for about 20 -25 minutes. Oil pressure around 65 - 70 lbs.

Engine was built by D and K performance engines in Canon City, Colorado.
We think we got a great deal on engine. They took a 360 block, crank,
heads, connecting rods, and a ld340 intake and created what I think
sounds like a great motor. Block is .030 over with TRW forged 9.5:1
pistons, a MP cam with 280/294 and .474 lift, decked the block and did
some minor polishing/porting of the heads, provided a 3000 rpm TCI converter
and balanced the whole assembly for $1650.00. Their estimate is that the
engine is pushing close to 370hp and bottom is good to around 8k.

Had some problems with the A999 transmission that finally got resolved
about two weeks ago. The tranny would not shift into 3 gear. Felt like it
was in neutral. 1 - 2 upshift was crisp and snapped your head backwards
fairly hard. Finally I found a tranny guy who would not give up on this
tranny. He found a plug in the fluid passage that feeds the governor.
I don't know who put it in, but I real pissed the guy who rebuilt the
tranny the first time did not find it after I complained numerous times.

Car was painted PLUM CRAZY by Rob Demaster and his brother-in-law. They
painted Eric's Challenger and my 69 R/T and will do my 72 "cuda" when I
get around to restoring that one.

Minor work still needs to be done on the Challenger yet. Some trim needs to
be installed and the headliner installed. Son is driving car now and having
fun. Let you know who the car runs after broken in and how the A999 tranny
holds up to occasional pounding by son.

Hi. Bob Lamothe just told me about this conference.

I have a 68 mustang convertible that I am restoring. A friend
of mine has a 65 mustang coupe. I had a 68 fastback when I was
in high school, but my brother cracked it up.

I bought the 68 convert with a 351C, 4 spd MT, and a vertical
quick shifter. My guess is that it saw some .25 mile races.

I also bought a 67 convert as a parts car. The frame and floors
were shot but it has some useful parts that totaled over the asking
price. It had a rebuilt 289 with 125 miles on it, Auto Tranny,
hydrolic power top, and styled wheel rims.

I sold the 351C, tranny, and shifter. The 289 and AT are in now.
I redid the interior from new carpet, re-upholestered the seats,
painted, proper 68 steering wheel. I steam cleaned the engine
compartment and painted it before installing the 289 and other
related parts.

All that is left to get it running is wire it up, run the hoses,
connect driveshaft, and new exhaust system. it still needs some
body work. The Drivers side door has a dent. I'll either
have it pulled or have it re-skinned. Needs new torque boxes too.
Finally a paint job. I can't wait.

Boy, have I learned a lot about cars in the past year. My friend
and I alone attached her tranny to her 200cid engine and put in
ourselves. I had only seen my ex-boyfriend pull my 351C and put
in my 289, but not with the tranny. That was a fun Saturday,
what a sense of accomplishment.

Any suggestions or recommendations welcomed.

Well lets see where to begin, the FORDS are in the garage on blocks,
their on blocks cause the darn things would fall onto their frames
if they were on the ground and its during the winters cause who wants
to work on a car in the cold everyday . We CHEVY owners are just smart
to ask if the FORD owners have the tools cause they have to work on
thier cars all the time they must have just about evey tool imaginable
if not they know a friend (FORD owner) that does. As far as denting a
chevy it takes a lot more to dent one than it does to dent a ford

Well I'm here and I'm getting ready
Our cars:
1989 T-Bird SC
1992 Mustang LX 5.0 convt. The reason I'm here.
The SC has been modified, but for the autocross and dragstrip I think
I'll have more and cheaper fun comparativley in the Mustang. I talked
my beautiful wife Alpha out of wanting a Benz.

Folks,

I'm Chuck Schmidt, down in Charlotte, NC. I've been R/O here for a
year or so and also play in carbuffs, mechanics, 4wd, and boats bit.
Larry's note ( -.1 ) prompted me to sign up as I also have a '92
mustang 5.0 LX convert.

I'm less of a true musclecar person and more of an aggressive cruiser,
particularly convertibles. I've spent numerous years working in an
auto parts store and doing "light" mechanicals and body work.

My past rides have included:

Learned to drive on a '68 Chevy Caprice wagon, special ordered by a
Chevy Dealer as his personal car with the 375hp 396 in it. One of the
few wagons with dual exhaust I've seen.

'66 Chevy Impala SS convert., big, boring, and rusted, practise for
bodywork 101
'67 Lemans comvert., pretty car
'67 Mustang convert., candy apple red, a 289 that would run run run
'70 Torino GT convert., started as a rusto - could take the spare out
of the trunk through the fender, completely rebuilt
'68 XKE convert, fun car, but $$$$$
'78 Caprice 4 door cruiser, started carpooling
'83 Rabbit GTI, a blast, 160,000 miles of autocross, 6K shifts and
3 wheel turns, still running great when sold
'86 Trooper ( still own ), amazing, rolled lengthwise once by my wife,
the 4 cyl 2.3 liter hasn't been touched inside ( other than timing
belt ), original clutch, tows my 3500 lb ski boat up a ramp!
'73 Caprice convert., a $500 car to fix my convertible Jones while
building a house, 400 small block, ran it 45,000 miles and sold it
for more than I bought it for
'90 Bonneville ( still own ), the mom-mobile
'92 Mustang LX 5.0 convert., the dad-mobile when I can get it away from
mom
'88 Malibu ski boat, 454 center mount engine ( like a nautique )

I've really enjoyed all the knowledge and fun in this conference. For
Larry, the most recent Fast Fords and Mustangs magazine has Mustang go
fast kits in $500, $1000, $1500, and $2000 from mulitple sources. Just
in time for Father's Day!!

Well, I've entered some notes here, so I guess I should introduce myself.

I'm Sam Lambert, a 15+ year veteran of DEC, er, Digital. I'm a software
type, specifically a UNIX weenie for the last 7 years. A major claim to
fame is that I gave Skip Readio pointers on how to use Notes-11 when it came
out. :-) (Hi, Skip...) I started out with DEC in MKO and have since
resided in ZKO and currently CXO (Colorado Springs) where I work on disk
utilities.

I'm a Harley rider as well as the owner of a '75 Ford F100 Explorer (on an
F150 chassis) that used to belong to Brian Shaw, apparently an ex-member of
this conference (he's since been TFSO'd). It pushes 308 hp at sea level,
and has too many mods to list. Drives a T160 (? - I think; I'm more of
a bike guy) auto trans with a shift kit. Nastily fast, especially for an
"old truck". I'm currently playing with the idea of moving the motor into a
"car" type vehicle from the truck, for usage reasons. My bike's an '85
FXRS-SP Lowrider Sport, for anyone who's interested.

That's me,

-- Sam

My name is Robert L. Clark and I own an '86 Trans Am. It came stock
with a 305 FI small block. I replaced this with a Paxton supercharged
350 (bored out to a 358). The engine has lots of goodies: a custom
chip, headers, forged 9.5:1 pistons, the G.M. hi-po camshaft, etc.
It has been polished, blueprinted, balanced, etc. Additionally, the
stock gearing in the rear axle has been replaced with 3.41's. I also
purchased and installed an Accel hi-po fuel pump, distributor cap,
and an MSD ignition; splitfire wires complete the setup. The car is
painted bright red and answers to the name of "Big Red."

Hi folks, John here, just wondering if there's anybody out there still
talking to this conference? I'm working 12 through the overnight here
at DS in Hudson waiting for equipment to break! In the mean time I was
hoping to get in on some conversation, sometimes it's a long 12 hrs you
know. Any how, I'm in the middle of a '68 Cougar restomod that I've
been at for quite some time. Over the years I've been able to learn
alot about these cars and the Mustang cousin,so if I can be of any
assistance to any one I'd be glad to help. I also have some great
sources for parts if any one is intrested. My project consists of a
'68 Cougar HT ,decor saddle int.,replaced the 302 4v with a '73 351-C
2v, Weiand single plane X-celerator,Holly 750 dp,Crane Hyd cam,lifters
valve springs etc, Trw 12.5:1 pistons, Tubular automotive headers
w/HPC, a custom made set of frame connectors (made by a former employee
of Competition Engineering) Haven't fired the engine yet but can't
wait! Still preping for the paint job hopfully before Christmas.
Well I've said enough, any one else? It's that project time of year!

Update..... the 94 Mustang GT is now SUPERCHARGED and what a
difference it makes being charged up. I plan to put 24lb injectors and
MSD/btm(boost timing master) so I don't get detonation and blow thing
up. Then I will do exhaust and gears.
