2699.0. "Digitech Vocalist VHM5" by FOO::BHAVNANI (SYS$UNWIND - laid back VMS) Sat Aug 17 1991 22:39

Has anyone tried the Digitech Vocalist VHM5 vocal harmony
processor? The ad in the August EM says "...a voice processor
that really sounds like human voices, not chipmunks". Specs
	from the ad:

	- Upto 5 part harmonies
	- Vocoder mode
	- Pitch correction
	- On-board synth for cue tone
	- Programmable vibrato, speed, depth and attack
	- Full MIDI implementation
	- Real-time key changes

	Caruso's quoted $749.

I haven't tried it, although I was extremely interested in it... until you
just posted that price that is... Still, I'd like to hear a demo on it.
  Well? Anybody try one yet?

    Hi folks !

There was a review in a German magazine of the VHM5 and they were
    extremely postive about it.

Then yesterday I called a guy who offered one for sale in a local ad
magazine. He had bought 2, the second one for a friend who then left
him in the rain. At the time I called he had already returned it to the
store, so there was no reason for cheating. But, he praised it. He
already used it for some weeks and explained some ways to use it.
Sounds extremely interesting. He offered me to demo the thing, ie.
comparing it to his IPS33 (which he says is lousy compared the VHM5).
So maybe I will do that.

However, 749$ is roughly 1200.-DM, but they charge 2100.-DM over here
and that's too much for me. But I'll be in the US in January, so beware
    Caruso's, Daddy's et al......
