2536.0. "MIDILIB deposit of Bach piece in Standard MIDI File" by MALLET::BARKER (Pretty Damn Cosmic) Tue Jan 01 1991 15:34

	I have put a file into MIDI::A$:[MIDILIB.DEPOSIT] that is a standard
MIDI file of part of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3. I got it included with
my sequencer and have diddled about with it a bit to drive an MT32.

	The filename is B3PLUS.MID

    	When I try dir 2727::a$:[midilib.deposit]*

    	I get directory lookup failure.
    anyone know what I,m doing wrong

Brian,

Try 2113::a$:[midilib.deposit] or midi::a$:[midilib.deposit]

    BRUMMY has MIDI defined as 2.679 whereas it should be 2.65
2536.4BRUMMY should most definitely update its database.MIDI::DANDan Gosselin, CUIP EngineeringMon Jan 07 1991 17:4110
MIDI switched DECnet addresses *last* January from 2.679 to 2.65. More than
likely, if MIDI hasn't been updated then lots of other nodes haven't either.
Beg/bribe/threaten your system mangl.. uh, manager to do it ASAP before you
have *more* problems.

PS. I've been pretty bad lately about moving things from DEPOSIT to appropriate
subdirectories. I'll make it a point to move things to correct places sometime
this week.

2536.5How does it sound??STKAI2::HALLFri Feb 15 1991 06:3011
    Nigel,

    What are the corresponding sounds intented to play on the different
    tracks of the B3PLUS piece. I only have the Program changes and
    hence, NO description of what instruments should play.
    I assume the P.C.'s are for MT32 ??

    BTW; I think the piece is very good sequenced.
