2511.0. "Sequencers for an Apple IIe" by CGOS01::DMARLOWE (PDP 11: MOV -(PC),-(PC)) Thu Dec 06 1990 16:01

I'm looking into doing some MIDI stuff on an APPLE IIe.

Anyone done some work in this area?

If so here are my requirements and questions.

For son taking SUZUKI Piano lessons. Have a YAMAHA YPP-50 digital piano.
It has something like 8 different voices that are available on different
channels. Primary one being used is the digitized piano voice (CH 1).

I have a IIe with the 80 column card so have 128KB memory.

Need sequencer software that can handle standard notation input. Need to
be able to enter in both left hand and right hand as SUZUKI quickly gets
into 2 handed pieces. Son does not play well enough to require MIDI data
capture into the IIe. If its part of a package then great as maybe he can
use it sometime in the future.

Multiple channels would be nice so he could create songs using some of the
different voices in the piano. Also being able to cut and paste would be
great so we could play a half a dozen bars or so without playing the
whole song.

Anyone have a package that either they like or don't like? Might as well
know about the good, the bad and the ugly. Any packages in use that have
some of the features that I need? Suppliers and prices??

Thanks.
