Great ! How is it ? I really would like to buy that !
I'm also very interested in MC-50. Reaaly sounds good from the catalog.
Well, I just ask about "8-track/16-channel" means.
Now I use YAMAHA QX5. This has 8 track and 32 Macro.
I always input data using "Step Data Input".
At first, I create each phrase and save to Macro, and edit(connect)them.
I hope MC-50 8-track/16-channel means alike a "Macro" of YAMAHA, but
I'm not sure.
So, if you(Hayashi-san or Michael)know, could you tell me about that ?
Is MC-50 good for using in my way ? Any information will be available.
Thanks.

| The MC-50 "8 track / 16 channel" qualifier does not parse to an
ability to define macros like the QX-5 from Yamaha.
16 Channel is a silly qualifier. It means nothing more than the ability
to record and store any of the 16 channels defined in the spec. A
machine that DIDN'T do this would die instantly on the market.
8 tracks, on the other hand, is a fairly usefull descriptor. The QX5
has 8 tracks and the MC's incarnation would be analogous.
The macros are fairly unique to the QX5, at least amongst dedicated
hardware sequencers.
You may want to check out the glossary in this file. I'm not sure if
any or all of these terms are defined there, but you seem to be
confusing some pretty basic concepts. Getting a clear grasp on such
terms as channel and track will make MIDI alot more enjoyable for you.
I think there's also a book out along titled something like "MIDI
Basics" that you may find usefull.

Hi, Edd. Thank you for your kind reply.
Well, I'll check more about that on some music shop again.
Thanks a lot again. I have to be on my desk.
