2071.0. "Finding a Piano Teacher" by RTL::RTL::TOTTON () Sun Aug 06 1989 21:45

    The time has come, and I'd like to draw on all of your collective
    wisdom...

    I have always wished I had learned to play piano. I wish I started
    when I was eight.  But, I didn't.

    I have been encouraged that it isn't too late. So, I have a weighted
    88-note keyboard coming (KORG T1) and a 1000PX. Now here is the
    question:

    	How would you suggest seeking an appropriate teacher (in the
    	Nashua area)?

    I've thought of contacting the Community School of Music here in the
    area. While I really expect to study classical piano and probably
    many exercises to build the basic skills, it might also be nice to have
    a teacher somewhat aware of MIDI, synths, etc., and more current music
    as well.

    Many thanks,

    	Jim
