821.0. "Dave Bottom Visiting Mass - Get Together?" by BAXTA::BOTTOM_DAVID () Fri May 29 1987 15:46

That vituperative and oft noisy mainiac commuscian, me will be more
than likely trapped in Mass for two weeks shortly. It looks to be June
8-19 I'll be down at Wilmington doing some training for them and of
course my evenings will be free (I hope).

So in anticipation of great boredom unless I can arrange otherwise
I'm trying to figure out what sort of musical extravaganza could
be arranged....I plan on traveling with 1 guitar and rockmodules.

So what's going on those two weeks? Who can I see (who's gigging
where? and where is that?), who wants to jam or hang out or otherwise
    be comradly and muscian like?

Len/Edd Drinking Society - Big Important Meeting

A weekly get togther of local Commusic personalities in the Greater
Maynard area co-chaired by Len Fehskens and Edd Cote. This symposim
is held at Tom Foolery's in Westboro every Wednesday, after work.
Conversation revolves around Music, Equipment, Projects, Digital,
Philosophy, and Women. Attendance is open to all interested parties.
821.4It WAS a secret...JAWS::COTEThe Voice Of ReasonFri May 29 1987 19:3011
In the past we've had such distinguished guest speakers as
Dave Bottom and Karl Moeller. Paul Kent will undoubtedly be
joining us this summer. (LEDS-BIM Int'l?)

You must have 2 pieces of MIDI gear to join or promise to buy
some *real soon*. Admission is free but tipping gets a bit outta
    hand.

The establishment has been known to pick up the tab occasionally...

OH!! And lest I be chastised, let me add that Ron (JON::) Wockin'
Won Ross is a charter member in good standing.

He even knows the secret handshake.

So, like, what comprises `MIDI devices'? Anything that has the
word MIDI screened on it somewheres?

Are there any other membership requirements? Is there a prerequisite
number of stacks of periodicals and books that must be owned? Are
4 cats enough? What about COMMUSIC tape contribution?

    Correction:

    	Thats "sacred", not "secret", handshake.

I learned it by rote (wrote?), as most rituals are handed
down. It has *something* to do with...oops, I almost told.
Besides, its to long an explanation to type in.

Real Deccies dont leave at 5:00.

I get there early so I can get the best seat.

    Say 1-ish.

It fills up fast. The sofa only holds 3, and the
chairs are too big to move around, sorta like a
    Rhodes....

    have a nice flight.
