563.0. "Map of Quebec?" by GNUVAX::QUIRIY (Yes, with two lumps of sugar, please.) Mon Apr 27 1992 20:36

    I'm looking a map of Quebec, the whole province. Ideally, I'd
    like a beautiful map, one that shows topographical details, and
    is printed on one side of paper, so I can hang it on my wall.
    I live in Massachusetts, and the stores I've visited/called only
    have road maps showing the southern portion of the province.

    Any suggestions on how I can get such a map (who to call, write)
    are appreciated.

563.1A map of Kwee-beck?POLAR::RUSHTONMon Apr 27 1992 21:266
    Call the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources, the Canada Map
    Office at 613-952-7000 and explain what you're looking for. Bear in
    mind that this is a government office, so don't try to call before
    8:30AM or after 4:30PM.

    Actually, I'd say Kweh-bec, or Keh-bec if I was trying to sound
    like a Frenchie. I come from a long line of Canooks myself but
    don't know a word of French.

    Well, 8:30 to 4:30 sound like fine working hours to me! I called the
    map office and was taken care of very nicely. I can't wait to get my
    map (and an index). Thanks again!
