468.0. "1992 Fiscal Calender - Good or Bad?" by TROOA::SKLEIN (Nulli Secundus) Thu Jul 11 1991 13:17

Has everyone else received their 1992 Fiscal Year Calanders in the
mail? Does anyone else consider it a big waste of paper? When I got
it, I couldn't believe that we would waste money by mailing it
externally, instead of thru interoffice. Even then why mail it, just
make it available thru the mailroom, like the phone books. Does
anyone else have a problem with the size, really fits well in a
binder doesn't it. And try to find a monthend on it, good luck!
Seems we ruined a good functional fiscal calender and came up with
	a useless piece of paper.

I personally thought it was beautiful and I put it in a frame and hung
it in a prominent place in my home. I'm considering building an altar
around it as many people have mentioned that as they gaze at it they
feel a strong compulsion to meditate. I'm considering transitioning in
order that I may devote 100% of my time to worshipping this Fiscal
    Calendar.

Glenn, what a great idea!! I, too, will hang it in a prominent place in my
house! Now, the questions are:

o	how many sheets do I cut it into?

o	do I hang it in the upstairs place, the downstairs place, or in the
outside dunny? (which I don't have, anyway!!)

o	is it bio-degradable, or will it cause a blockage when flushed
	away?

>>> o	how many sheets do I cut it into?

    Cut it into 1 sheet.

>>> o	do I hang it in the upstairs place, the downstairs place, or in the
outside dunny? (which I don't have, anyway!!)

Which ever is the most prominent.

>>> o	is it bio-degradable, or will it cause a blockage when flushed
	away?

Blockage can be avoided by removing the frame before flushing.

    Hope this helps.

Well, I took it up with the Printout editor, and he responded that this
mailing home was a one-time thing to improve communications.
    Subsequent Printouts will go inter-office.

I thought that the calendar was definitely not very useful at home!
And then the shape and format isn't very useful either. What someone
here did is took a copy of the one from the corporate phone book
    and added the Canadian dates!

Well, it would have cost a lot less if they mailed me one, I spent
ages going around to people trying to find one to photocopy.

When I managed to find one, I had to take 20+ copies, for those who
said "I've already spent a long time looking for one, if you find one,
can you get a copy for me too"!

It's probably cheaper in the long run to mail them, but to mail them
	to the office!

I would like to voice my opinion to the originator, is
there such a person still employed at DEC?
