Note 1290.0 French-Canadian Keyboard For 320+

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I would like to order a French-Canadian keyboard for my 320+. I can not
find a part number for an "industry-standard 101-key French-Canadian
keyboard". Does such a thing exist?

It looks like the only alternative is an LK250-PP - Digital Gold-key style
keyboard for French-language users. From reading other topics in this
conference about LK250s, they don't sound like a real good solution -
I'm concerned about incompatabilities with software that expects a real
"industry-standard" keyboard. Also, I'm not sure if a keyboard for French
users is the same as a keyboard for French-Canadian users.

All help and suggestions appreciated. I'm going to post this in the
Canada conference as I suspect the folks in Quebec have gone over this
ground before.

Regards,

Garry

	Garry,

I think that most of the Quebecois who were once part of
this notes conference have since migrated to the FRENCH
	notes file.

BOO - believe it! You see, location codes used to be 2 characters, so,
Calgary was CG, for example, and Boston was "BO" (hee, hee, hee - it's
true!). When 3-character codes became necessary, all of the old,
2-character codes got an "O" stuck on the end. Hence, "CGO" and "BOO".

This is all described in horrible and tedious detail in Karf Barbunk's
fourth book, "Fourteen Years Astride the Sausage Counter", published
    under the pseudonym Frak Bbknrau.

Please delete the previous note as its sarcasm may result a
	contract aginst Mr Richardsons life.

I have heard of horrible deaths involving the force feading
	of Bangers and Saurkruat.
