    As I recall from old TV news clips Pierre Trudeau was temporarily
    inflicted, while visiting the Queen in England. That was where he
    did that little Whirly-Twirly and almost bumped into the gaurd. 

    	Please keep in mind that a little Whirley-Twirley can't really be
    compared to a full blown Whirley-Twirley. Now I can believe that
    Margaret Trudeau was into hard core whirly-twirlies, after all, she
    hung around the Rolling Stones who experimented with whirly-twirlies in
    the 60's.

    	I vote for the Pacific Ocean, I think it's the biggest fjord in the
    world. It used to be called the Pacific Fjord back in the early 1500's.
    Columbus changed all that when he started doing whirly-twirlies on the
    deck of the Santa Maria! The crew then shouted "Throw him in to the
    Pacific Ocean! We won't have a Captain doing whirly-twirlies on our
    ship!" And so it was that from that time on, the Pacific Fjord was
    referred to as the Pacific Ocean.

 Several Digital nurses were recognized for their contributions to occupational 
 health nursing at the recent annual meeting of the American Association of 
 Occupational Health Nurses and Whirly-Twirlies.
 
 Frani Lane and Barbara Foglia received an award for their clinical study at 
 the APO site which they described in an abstract titled "The Use of Nose 
 Clips in Whirly-Twirlies Removal".  Frani and Barbara's study was judged 
 to "demonstrate significant contributions to the field of whirly-twirlies
 and occupational health nursing."

 Pat Travers, Health Services Programs manager, presented "Integrating 
 Whirly-Twirlies into Occupational Health Nurses" at an all-day session 
 attended by 50 nurse professionals.  At one of the concurrent sessions, Pat's 
 presentation on "Chryslers:  An Update of Current Health Issues" was attended
 by more than 400 conferees, none of whom were Canadians, interestingly.

 Sarnia was not discussed at any point during the sessions.

Jim recently died due to an inept attempt to perform a whirly-twirly
manually.  It took the para-medics three hours to remove the Cuisinart
from his face.

to the Jim (Chopped-liver) Pond Memorial Enema Fund.

	We here in the Great White North view the BA in English with a
certain amount of disdain, not to cast dispersions on your degree but
simply to illustrate what is required of candidates in this neck of the 
woods, as it were.  You see, the candidate is required to drive like
hell and do whirly-twirlies (in excess of 130Km/hr) on a two-lane road, one 
hand on the wheel whilst the other is clasping a can of Molson Ukrainian, with 
the 2Megawatt power boosted car stereo pumping out Van Halen's "It's a
Whirly-Twirly Hell".  The candidate must do this for a continuous period of 30 
minutes while tailgating an 18-wheeler.  The English proficiency test is 
successfully completed if the candidate can identify three words out of five 
from the bumper sticker of the aforementioned truck, two of the three 
identified words MUST be 'immigrate' and 'emigrate' and not whirly-twirly

	To answer your original question, the Free Trade Agreement has no
bearing on immigration/emigration, just on goods and services but not people.
Unless, of course, an individual is providing a service that might be construed
as being illegal in the country to which he or she is immigrating!

    Brian's being doing so many whirley-twirleys so fast recently he's
    beginning to show both faces at once.

    I was seriously considering going home to Montreal this summer for
    a holiday. But since I've read this note I've changed my mind. I'll
    warn everybody over here about the outbreak of whirley-twirley-itis
    in Canada. There are only a couple of places here in Dublin that
    are close enough to being malls so maybe we'll be spared.

    How're ya? as they say in Dublin. All is well. I have been up to
    my oxters (sp?) teaching and trading jibes with Boston Bruins fans
    who love to hate the Montreal Canadiens. But otherwise I'm fine.
    
    Dublin (should I say Ireland) is starting to wind up for the start
    of the World Cup. They play their first game against (guess who)
    England on Monday. And wouldn't you know I'm teaching in Belfast
    that week. I'm driving home on Monday to watch the game with my
    son and brothers-in-law. Should be a corker. England want revenge
    for being beaten by Ireland in the European Cup and nothing would
    please Ireland more than beating them again. Should make for good
    viewing. I've kind of lost all interest in soccer but the World
    Cup always generates a bit especially since the Irish are in it
    this year. I did get fired up in 1986 when Canada was there. I 
    thought they played pretty well for a country that isn't exactly
    considered a soccer power in the world.
    
    How's about yourself, Pat, you and the family are well I trust.
    Any more about your proposed trip to Ireland with your entourage?

    Reports on the BBC about Quebec's increased demands for separatism
    are very upsetting. The reporter finished off his bit on the Meech
    Lake Accord with "Mulroney will either be remembered as the P.M.
    who kept the country together or a the last P.M. of a united Canada."
    I don't think any of you can understand the feelings of Canadians
    aay from home when they hear things like that on the TV or in the
    newspapers.

    	I never said that whirly-twirlies only happen to Canadians, but I
    did say they were a Canadian phenonmenamenamena.

    	Brian did a whirly-twirly during a televised debate with John
    Turner, a noted whirly-twirly specialist in the House Of Commons and
    party leadership reviews.

    	As far as free trade goes, whirly-twirlies might have to go to an
    arbitration tribunal, which in itself could be considered a
    whirly-twirly.

    If I may be so bold as to assume that I might have some clue as to what
    y'all have said thus far:
    
    Whirley twirlies are either a frame of mind or a physical state that
    blows one's equilibrium all to heck.  Funny, though.  I don't remember
    anybody with whirley twirlies for sale at the Dead show last
    Saturday... ;-}
    
    Whirley twirlies happen in phases/stages *or* they could sneak up and
    attack without warning.  This would explain the Bruins being humiliated
    in the Cup finals.
    
    Finally, although everyone is succeptible, whirley twirlies are more
    frequent among politicians, such as your PM and my (although I didn't
    want to keep him...) president.  I would hope that the Secret service
    is brushing up on whirley twirley combatant techniques, then, since Mr.
    Bush has just recently suffered an attack.
    
    It's truly amazing how just two words can change your whole life...I
    mean, think about it.  Yesterday morning, I was none the wiser.  But
    now, HA! I have the upper hand.  I think.  Just to be certain, could
    someone use whirley twirley in a sentence?

    to entry into the united states .. i had to stand in line by immgration
    and read lips .. the officer kept asking "read my lips" ... you will
    be require to be submitted to a LWTD test before entry into canadian
    citzenship.
    
    	the LWTD (aka Latent Whirley Twirley Defect) test is not painful,
    but may require you to renounce your appreciation of the dead, though
    you may keep your american citzenship (but no citzen appliances).
    
    	i do warn you the LWTD it is very embarassing, unless you are a
    pool-liner repairthing (pls ... in canada we use nonsexist titles).
