| Derby Line, Vermont & Rock Island, Quebec, as well as Beebe and Beebe Plain are
split across the border.
A couple of years ago I was stopped and lectured to by the U.S. border patrol
after I "accidentally" entered Canada without first stopping at immigration
when I parked across the street from U.S. Immigration upon coming back in.
The border patrol insisted I had to drive into the station in the car. Immi-
gration wasn't overly upset when we finally did this; asked us how long we'd
been in Canada (5 minutes) and then waved us on. We went back to the same
parking spot and walked (this time legally) back into Canada via Immigration.
We came back through the Library, which is half in each town, and now cognizant
of the rules, walked the two blocks back to U.S. immigration, non-stop.
There are no longer any private residences which span the border. Too much
confusion for the governments. There is a gun factory with a line through the
middle of the plant.

| Dundee (either Ontario or Quebec not sure) has a bar that has lines
painted on the floor to mark the borders between the US and Ont/Que
and Que/Ont. I think it has the three borders painted on the floor,
(two for sure).
Dundee is across the St.Lawrence River from Cornwall,Ont near Salmon
River,NY. It's a great place. In the summer you go by boat usually
and you can even get there by car across the ice in the winter (when
the ice freezes thick enough).
