The DECbrouter 90's code comes from CISCO. It does not support X25GAP
and will not act as a direct replacement for a single DEMSA-based
X25router with a PVC.
It is also unlikely to change. What developement is still going on in
recent years has been in the area of X25 Switching in the Distrbuted
Routing code (not the DECbrouter 90). X25GAP requires a DECnet stack on
both the host and the gateway. X.25 switching uses LLC2 and therefore
makes it more atractive for use with Digital Unix, and other multivendor
environments.
Is your intention to route DECnet PhaseIV across this PVC, or
do you have an X.25 application program running on the host system ?
If all you are doing is routing DECnet PhaseIV, then you are not even
using the X25GAP protocol. In that case you could route DECnet PhaseIV
across the PVC with a DECbrouter 90 at each endpoint.
