| I like to go to Saunder's at Rye Harbor, although more for the view than the
menu. It's pretty good, but I never thought the food really stood out. Last year
they had a reggae band (Islandside) that played music on the patio on Sunday's
from 3-7 or so. Usually had a pretty good crowd for that, too.
In Portsmouth, there are several decks off of Cere's Street. Some offer a bar
menu only (Poco Diablo's), but the deck at the Oar House offers a fuller menu.
You'll find it's more sedate down on that end of the street also.
My favorite deck is The Old Ferry Landing, which is only open during the summer
months. Great seafood, but not at all fancy. They have a canvas top and plastic
walls, which they can raise if it's nice or lower if it's not. Like Poco's,
there's usually a line to get in.
The Gaslight (downtown) has an outdoor patio for music, drinks, etc. They
usually have local bands there Thu, Fri and Sat nights. I've heard rock, reggae
and blues there. They usually shut the bands down early due to town ordinances.
The Blue Mermaid (on the Hill) had bands in the courtyard a few times last year
and may offer outdoor dining.

Any others along the NH/ME seacoast?

| I like the Boat House on route 101D. It's nice to sit outside
overlooking the cove, and watch the boats. It is very casual,
has good seafood, beer and wine, etc.
It's north of the State Park and Rye Beach area. But before Portsmouth.
