Yes, the new owner is Stephen James, who's also the head chef. He
formerly was an executive chef on several large cruise liners,
(including the Princess Line) and is very versatile. He decided (about a
year ago) to own a restaurant and the opportunity came up for him to buy
'Backstreet Again'. I think the food is consistently good and I can vouch
for the kitchen's cleanliness as well.
I'm a jazz musician and play at 'BS' regularly in the Tuesday Night
Jazz sessions there. Consequently, I eat there often. Most of the
entrees and appetizers are very good. We were also playing the Sunday
brunches there but they've stopped for the remainder of this winter.
They might resume in the Spring. Most everyone passing through the
restaurant, whom I've talked to, likes the food very much.
