The Seasoned Chef has moved from Harvard to Lowell, don't recall if
he's using the same name however.
It was a double punch to the area now that Cafe Rustique is gone too.
Maynard and Ayer seem to possess the only restaurant choices now...

What real choices are in Ayer????

1885.13 | no 'real' dining in Ayer, just better than nothing choices | APLVEW::DEBRIAE | Licensed to Grill | Mon Jun 02 1997 22:14 | 15 |

Perhaps 'real' doesn't apply. As close standby's we sometimes visit:
the two Korean places: one is decent for meat BBQ, the other noodle
dishes
LaSita Mexican: very basic offerings, yet their specials are often
better than I usually give them credit for, overall just OK.
Ah Gin Wong: fills occasional bluemoon 'bad' low-end Chinese fix
Well, that's it. Never tried Tony's. A better than nothing selection,
except the Korean places are decent. Maynard has better offerings for
twice the drive for everything but Korean. Usually if we end up driving
to Maynard we just continue down Rt 2 to Concord or our 'real' choice
of Cambridge.

Ah Gin Wong has a good Thai Chicken curry.
Woo Jung (Korean) I forgot that that is in Ayer, is one of our favorite
places. We usually go there after being in Shirley. Great food. Never
tried the other Korean.
LaSita : Just can't get excited about this place.
never been to Tony's, only Tiny's and that is grease central.

| The eatery at Fruitlands has reopened. Is now called simply "the tea room".
I had Sunday brunch there on June 1. The food and service were good. The
seating area is quite small. It was not crowded (from 10 to 11 am), but then,
it was raining and foggy. I expect it would be crowded on a clear Sunday.
