50.0. "Looking for CHARTERS, BY-LAWS, etc" by JHAXP::BEAUCHESNE () Fri May 02 1997 17:07

Our town is fairly new to the travel scene (3-4 years), and has
not had a formal program/board until a few months ago. One thing
we would like to do is adopt a charter. If any other clubs out
there have a charter online, or wouldn't mind sending me, please
let me know. I will pay any fees associated with duplicating or
transmitting the charter (please call first!).

For background, the town is Hooksett, NH and we currently are
fielding 2 girls (10,12) and 5 boys teams (8,9,11,13,17); all
in Division II. I would guess, based on population and field
availability that we won't grow too much more than this.

    	All help/pointers/anything(!) appreciated,

    	Moe
    	newly elected Director, Travel Socce
    	(but you probably guessed that!)

Turner Wilson, an Acton ref., has a soccer web page
    (http://www.ultranet.com/~wilsturn/index.shtml) but I didn't see the
town's charter on it. You can send him mail (Wilsturn@ultranet.com)
and ask him if he can electronically send you the charter.

    Good luck....

Moe,
Check out http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Field/6373/bylaws.html
for the bylaws for Billerica United Soccer Club. Send me your e-mail
address and I will forward you the same for the referenced Nashoba
Valley Youth Soccer League as well as my club, Pepperell Youth Soccer.

Search the web with AltaVista and I am sure that you will find more.

Also, check with NHYSA. I know that here in Mass., the state office
has a file of club club constitutions, by-laws, and rules. NHYSA is
online at http://www.nhsoccer.com/nhsa/nhsa.htm.

!!!!Wait a sec. That last reference is carrying coals to Newcastle!!!!
Talk with Fred Kfoury, who is listed on the NH page as the Director of
Coaching, Hooksett Youth Athletic Assoc.

See you 'round the pitch,

Thanks for the help and pointers so far. I have received one
charter via e-mail, and I will check out all the other references
above. I had tried a generic AltaVista search, which at the time
turned up empty, so these specific pointers will be great.

I know Fred, and we play soccer together occasionally. I *know*
he doesn't have a charter for travel, but he may still be of some
use ;^). (He and my brother were roommates after college.)

E-mail address is Beauchesne@mail.dec.com currently, but I will be
getting a non-Digital ISP address within a day or two.

    	thanks,
    	Moe
