    Hi,
    
    I have a customer who appears to have a faulty batch of DECserver
    700's. The DECserver 700's are used to monitor a host system via a home
    grown watchdog application. The watchdog talks to the host via an async
    port on the server over LAT to the host. Their software intermittently 
    complains of a 2 second delay in receiving a response from the host. 
    At the same time this occurs the Receive Failure Count has gone up by 
    one with a Receive Failure Reason of 00000011.
    
    The customer has had 4 out of 10 servers fail in this way. The problems
    appear not to be network related as the  suspect servers are failing
    on different networks. The network connection is only DECserver 700 -
    AUI-to-Thin transceiver (DECXM) -  Thin wire cable  - DE435 Thin port.
    
    Is there any known product issues around the DECserver 700 AUI ports as
    the customer reports a faulty server works O.K using the UTP port with
    a crossed cable to the DE435 but gives errors on the AUI.
