HI,
I would like to declare myself as a "novice" for frame relay, please excuse
me
if the question has been posted here before.
I try to connect a RW/EW router through Frame Relay network to a cisco
4000.
The data link level set at cisco at the cisco router is IETF encapsulation.
The ser1 (net 1) configure at the RW/EA is having the same subnet no as the
subnet no. on the cisco sub interface. The ip add at the cisco side is
172.17.1.33 whil the IP add at the RW/EW side is 172.17.1.34 both have he
same subnet mask 255.255.255.252. I was unable to ping to the cisco ip add.
from both side.
my question are
1. Do they have any interoperability issue ?
2. if not can the two ser. port on the same subnet. ( if both side is Cisco
, they are do it, according to customer)
3. if possible plese advise how to configure and make it work?
Thank in advance

| Do you have an IP address set up on the LAN side also? I mean can you
at least ping to the LAN interface of the CICSO and the RW/EW?
