9599.0. "622MHz support?" by COMICS::CORNEJ (What's an Architect?) Wed Apr 23 1997 11:27

    Can anyone tell me which version of UNIX will be required for the
    622MHz processors in an AlphaServer 8200?

    Well, it sounded like an easy question. I'll try asking it the other
    way arround.

    Wil V4.0B have latent support for this CPU?

Hi
 I think if you look in the turbolaser notes file, this is answered...

    Thanks Eric,

    I hadn't noticed the conference move...I thought it a little quiet:-)

    To save anyone else looking, V3.2G or V4.0B appear to be required.

The 622MHZ Cpu for the AlphaServer 8200/8400 will be qualified with
V3.2G and V4.0B of Digital UNIX.

If another version of Digital UNIX is require to meet your needs
this should be brought to the attention of the AlphaServer 8400/8200
Product Management so that they can plan the correct resources for
doing additional qualification.
