2496.0. "SRV73 hang up" by ALCALA::LOURDES (Lourdes Rebollar, IS Spain) Fri Jan 31 1997 13:16

    Hello,

I am having a lot of problems with SRV 73 in our Alpha server.
The process node$SRV73 does not dead but it is impossible to access
to SM MFC MFS menu. I only to get it, doing stop/id of node$SRV73
process and after that SM MFC MFS STA, but in a few minutes
    the server is like before.

    I have OpenVMS V6.2-1H2 and
    IOS Version:
ALL-IN-1 IOS Server for OpenVMS V3.1 BL121 (US) ENGLISH 17-JUN-1994
    TLC Version:
    TeamLinks Connection Package V2.5 V2.5BL42 11-APR-1995

The problem is happening now with OpenVMS V6.2-1H2 version but it does
not happen when we have OpenVMS V6.1.

I have relink the image and I have got a new files that I have
    copied to their places.

    Please any idea?
            Looking forward to your answer
            Best regards
    Lourdes

    Lourdes,

By the looks of things, you need to install the VMS patch
ALPCMAR01_062, which should hopefully resolve your problem.

    -Kevin.

Glad things are ok now ! You might want to check for the existence of
ALPCMAR02_062 too...as I believe there is a VAX version of this.
I'm not sure if they produced an Alpha equivalent, but I thought I'd
    mention it...

    Kevin.

    Hi,

    Just to complete the picture...

OpenVMS have just released their fourth CMA patch for OpenVMS V6.2, so
people may want to consider installing it :

    ALPCMAR04_062
    VAXCMAR04_062

We have this running on a variety of test systems as well as our
production cluster, and our servers appear to be behaving ok...

    Thanks,
    Kevin.
