Subject: DEC C++ for OpenVMS VAX V5.5-017 SSB compiler release
The DEC C++ development group announces the availability of the version 5.5
SSB kit. This is a 32 bit native compiler using a VCG backend.
Problem reports can be made through the notes conference:
- TURRIS::C_PLUS_PLUS
The version 5.5 SSB kit contains enhancements that have been made
since previous versions, including:
o All bugs fixed since V5.4

The network version 5.5 SSB kit is contained in one save set at:
DECC::DECC$KIT:[CXXVAXVMS]CXX055.A
This native kit is a regular VMSINSTAL kit, which requires an LMF PAK
and OpenVMS VAX V5.5 (or higher). The compiler has the version
ident of V5.5-017. For users on pre-6.0 versions of VMS, there is
also a CRT kit, and a Debug kit, which must be installed to get the
newer version of the libraries and VMS debugger respectively.
