      PROBLEM:  An incomplete product kit for Digital TCP/IP Services V4.1A 
		for OpenVMS VAX (aka UCX) is shipping on the March '97
		Software Products Library (CDROM consolidation).

		This is a problem for a customer who does not have
		the underlying base product, V4.1.

      RESOLUTION/WORKAROUND:  The base product kit, V4.1, must be installed
		before the V4.1A upgrade can be installed.  The new customer
	        may need help to locate the V4.1 kit.
		
		Alternate sources for the V4.1 kit:
	   
		o The V4.1 kit ships with the OpenVMS VAX Operating System, 
		  Version 7.1.  It is on the same CDROM disc as the Operating 
                  System binaries.  
		
		o Digital TCP/IP Services V4.1 kit is also available on disc 1
		  of the Digital NAS Version 8.1 Software CD.  The kit can be 
		  located in the: [NAS_PROD_SERVER.KIT] subdirectory under the 
		  following filenames:

        		UCX041.%

		o Subscribers to the Software Products Library for OpenVMS 
		  VAX will also find the kit in the December, 1997 release.
  		
                NOTE: The OpenVMS Operating System Version 7.1 and 
		Digital NAS Version 8.1 ship with the March 1997
		Software Products Library for OpenVMS VAX.

      ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

		A complete kit for this product will be shipped in the
		June '97 Software Products Library for OpenVMS VAX.
		There is not a problem with the V4.1A kit for OpenVMS Alpha.

          Welcome to this month's OpenVMS VAX Software Product Library
          Package. The June 1997 package includes the changes described in
          the following sections.

          Bookshelf Navigation Utility (BNU)

          The Bookshelf Navigation Utility (BNU) is now available on the
          companion Online Documentation Library CD-ROMs. The BNU enables
          the user to view Bookreader[TM] documentation, as well as 
	  information displayed in other industry-standard formats. For
          further details, please refer to the Online Documentation Library
          CD-ROM User's Guide, located in the README directory on disc 1.

          Removed Products

          The following DECADMIRE product has been removed due to retire-
          ment. Its functionality has been incorporated into the DIGITAL
          Application Generator Version 3.0 product (UPILV 3QUAA).

          POLYCENTER Products Available through DIGITAL and Computer
          Associates

          The selected POLYCENTER[TM] products have been removed from the
          Software Product Library Package effective with this release.
          This group of products has been sold to Computer Associates
          and is no longer distributed as part of the Software Library
          Package. Both DIGITAL and Computer Associates will continue to
          sell and support these products as individual product offerings.

          DIGITAL Multivendor Customer Service (MCS) will continue to
          provide version updates for the Computer Associates POLYCENTER
          products for customers who have valid DIGITAL MCS support con-
          tracts. This is the only way to receive product updates on Com-
          puter Associates POLYCENTER products, other than purchasing the
          products again after they revise.

          If you are an MCS customer currently receiving updates for these
          POLYCENTER products from the Consolidation, you will have to
          purchase an individual Media and Documentation Service (MDDS)
          contract for each product for which you want to continue to
          receive updates. Product updates will be delivered on CD-ROM for
          OpenVMS Alpha products, and on TK50 for OpenVMS VAX products.
