Hi everybody. Today is a very special day for me in that 5 years ago,
a fellow DEJAVUer at that time - Brian MacKrill - first wrote to me
offline and that began what has turned out to be a very dear friendship.
Brian was working as a contractor in Digital Holland then, and shortly
after that moved back to his home in Austalia, where he lives now.
We kept in touch through the years, and last November it was hoped that
he would be able to visit here and attend the DEJAVU 10th Anniversary
party. That didn't happen, but what did happen is that I decided to
visit him in Australia finally this last January for 18 days. I was
going to India to attend a conference in the last 2 weeks of December
already, so Australia was kind of in the neighborhood and I decided to
stop by....(;^)
Anyway, even though it was our first time meeting in person, we got on
fabulously and had wonderful time together. We don't yet know what the
future holds for us, and so any white light, prayers, or good thoughts
you would like to send in our direction for the very best to happen -
whatever that may be - would be most appreciated.
My hope is that he might be able to come and visit this fall sometime,
and if that happens, I plan to have the DEJAVU 11th Anniversary party
at that time, so will keep you posted through this note. Brian still
fondly remembers DEJAVU and sends his kindest regards to everyone.
