I don't know how I got into this reply... Vaxnotes is really different.  Now I 
am able to get into this note file also.  Lots or relearning to do though.  It 
looks like I could modify any Vaxnote reply I want to.  Better be careful...

How I ever made it I don't know, though I finally did.  I'm still
  figuring out how this new-fangled thing works!  From what I've
  read in this note, doesn't sound like I've missed much.

 I'm back too: I was away for 5 weeks over Christmas, and waited till it 
 was converted before trying to catch up.    I  takes  a  while  to read 
 several hundred interesting notes.

    I finally got back here when the VAXNOTES version made it onto my
    machine that allows you to SET SINCE.  For those brave (patient)
    souls that went though each note to get here and don't want to do
    it again the command is "SET SEEN/BEFORE=25-JAN-1986" or whatever.
    
    I've missed it, but I'm glad to see some new people here too.
    
    Too bad about Steve Kallis vs. System manager.  I bet he'll be busy
    when his system moves into the 20th century! :-)

        I've been using VAX Notes since the X0.6 kit, and I must say
        that it keeps getting better and better.  The response is great!
        
        Please, put in titles on your responses, it makes it much easier
        to find something by looking in the titles for a keyword.

    Next time you want to do a reply type:  Reply/noextract this will prevent
happening what happened.

        To be more specific -- if you are using a spawned editor (e.g.,
        real EDT), the default is to extract the reply you're answering
        and place it in your editing buffer.  This is to make it easier
        for you to respond to specific points -- but you have to delete
        it from the buffer!
        
        You can modify your command file (that you use to run a spawned
        editor) so that the extracted file is never fed into the editor --
        or you can just learn to use EVE (which really isn't bad at all,
        once you get used to it).

  It seems to have changed when I switched to edt instead of eve.

    Thanks to the patient help of Bill Keefe, I've been able to return.
     There still is no system VAXNOTES, but I have my own private set.
     Took several tries before it came out right.

    Ihave not made the jump into the hyper-space of vaxnotes  and the
    most interesting ffile in the galaxy I have been able to access
    this file thanks to good friends.  Where there is a will there is
    a way. Right?  But I sure miss it through regular channels.

    HEY I'M NEW (sorry not yelling) and i'm here if that qualifies me,
    glad to see such an interresting notes file.  awsomeness

    	Hi, I'm Tracy.  I've been able to do "things" since I was 2 ish. 
    This is by my parents recollection.  They have told me hundreds of
    weird stories about me filling rooms with an electric charges when mad,
    dreaming situations that occur, when around individuals who are at
    least 2-3 doors ahead of me, I can use telepathy.  Unfortunately, I
    tend to draw off their power to do so.  I sense things about people, I
    can see a form of their auras.  But, I am still learning.  I am still
    learning.  I am presently a door 4, still a babe.  But I learn quickly
    as a dear Druid friend has told me.
    	I am a born, but I don't know which side of my biological family I
    got it from.  I was adopted at the age of 9 weeks.  The social worker
    did tell my parents that my Father's parents made a sizable offer to my
    Mother to have me aborted.  As you see, She refused.
    	I am still looking for a full time teacher.  But I see there is a
    file on teachers and things.  So, I'll go there next.  I've always been
    told I have a very happy aura, even though I have a bad temper.  So,
    this way, you'll know me if ever we meet.
