1499.0. "Where did Note 298 go?" by USCTR1::CCARLSON () Wed Jul 10 1991 13:28

I was looking for information on Tarot card readings. My girlfriend
just bought a pack of Ryder cards about a week or so ago and bought a
book with them to help her along. The book doesn't have some of the
cards in it and she's finding along the way that certain cards in the
book are the same but they are called by different names (eg, world vs.
universe...). I've been looking through these notes for info for her
and have looked into note 3, and also came to 323.1 where it suggests
    note 298.0 <Suggested Reading> - How to Tarot. It's not in the
directory - can I still get to it somehow?

    Thanks,
    Cathy

    re .0

When purchasing a companion book for a tarot deck I make sure
that the book reflects the deck in mind or is written from the per-
spective of the decks use. For instance.

      A. E. Waite wrote a companion book, for the R-W tarot deck, called
"_The_Pictoral_Key_to_the_Tarot_". Eden Gray wrote one, for the same
deck, called "_The_Tarot_Revealed_". I have both and find Eden Gray's
    to be better for me.

I have a deck which I use (almost) exclusively for matters of the
heart. The companion book I chose was written from the perspective
of romance but reflects a diferent deck than what I use.

To start out I would get a book that reflected the deck of my liking.

      Hope this has helped.

                                Later,
                                 Mark

Note 298.0 was deleted sometime prior to 2-Nov-1989, which is the
oldest directory listing I have. It was probably deleted by the author
for reasons known only to that person.
