2126.0. "Information on Scorpio" by CSC32::A_STEINDEL () Fri Sep 06 1996 21:35

I had my chart done many years ago, and I can't remember much about it
now. The astologer told me that I have a Scorpio sun, moon, and rising
(all Scorpio) and thats about all I recall. Does anyone know much about
this particular combination, or any books that would be good to
    reference for more information?

    thanks,
    Adrienne

Wow - now that's some combination! I have a Scorpio sun, but the other
    two are different.

I'm only an astrology novice when it comes to these things, however
whatever you read about Scorpio basically applies to you in triplicate.
Your primary element is Water, and you're probably a very intense
    person, for starters.

Interestingly, I've been delving into Vedic astrology in recent times,
and all of my primary influences (sun, moon, rising) changed signs.
And they seemed to describe me even more accurately than Western
astrology. So, even though you may be a triple Scorpio in Western
astrology, it very well could change in the Vedic system, and even be
    more accurate.

For Western astrology, a good book to read is, "Horoscope Symbols", by
Robert Hand. I rather like Linda Goodman's Sun Signs book as well.

For Vedic astrology, read "The Astrology Of The Seers", by David
    Frawley.

    Cindy,

I have the same experience too! I was on the web one day,
while I was waiting a lengthy build to complete, I found a Vedic
astrology web site. And yes, according to their calender, I am a
Libra, not a Scorpio, and the descriptions for the Vedic Libra
fits me better than the western Scorpio. Thanks for the pointer
for the books. I'll check that out.

    Eva,

That makes two of us! I'm a Sun Libra in Vedic astrology too. (;^)

Also, unlike the sun sign in Western astrology, in Vedic astrology
the strongest and most important influence is your rising sign.

Recently I had my Vedic chart read by a Vedic astrologer, Dr. Brendan
Feeley, who lives in Washington, D.C. (phone reading), and I couldn't
believe the incredible accuracy. The reading was $125, and it was
worth every penny. I may start a note on Vedic astrology - it's quite
    something.

Do you have a pointer to the Vedic web site? I'd be interested in
    that.

Well, the web site that I read a while ago, could not be reached
yesterday. So, I don't know ... It showed up in a AltaVista search
    for "horoscope". It is

    http://www.twelfthhouse.com/html/horoscope.html

And the brief description goes like this
"Vedic Astrology. The Vedic horoscope differs from the western one
primarily by its use of hte sidereal (constellation) zodiac, as opposed
    to..."

I found another site yesterday, but I haven't read much from it.
    It is

    http://www.spiritweb.org/Spirit/Astro/vedic-astro-goravani.html

    Have fun.
