2035.0. "Dream Interpretation: Death, and wedding" by EISYFI::ISLER () Thu Mar 02 1995 14:09

It has been a long time since I visited this notes file.

But today is the day. What I dreamt last night really starting
bothering me. I am hoping for a different interpretation than mine.

As a background, my father passed away 3 months ago. My mother died 5+
years ago. Through both ordeals, my sister and I helped each other out
a lot. Especially the last one had been quite draining on us. We are
very close, and I am also very close with my 8 year old niece.

    - A few weeks ago I had a dream in which I knew that my sister would die
soon. I was very upset of course. I could not believe that I would be
    able to live after loosing her, but I thought of my 8 year old niece;
and decided in the dream that I should live for my niece when something
    happens to my sister.

    - A few days later I had a dream in which my niece was already dead. It
    was quite upsetting as well.

In real life - The three of us went to vacation last week, I had to
return back last Sunday. They are to stay there until Saturday.

    - Last night, I had a dream in which my sister was having her wedding.
Actually the marriage ceremony was already done apparently, and she was
married by the time my dream started.
She was all dressed in white, including a little white scarf tossed
over her head. We were in a big hall, and there were also other people
all dressed in white who were getting married. The funny thing is my
brother-in-law was not there, my sister was alone, yet she had gotten
married to him (in the dream). My niece was next to me, and we were
facing my sister. My sister was standing against a desk.
I wanted to take my sister's photograph, even though her husband (the
groom) was not there. She did not want me to take her picture, and she
    was almost mad.

As we speak, my sister is vacationing in the caribbeans with my niece.
Her husband is back here. My sister was supposed to call me last
night, but she hasn't. I remembered this morning that my sister dreamed
of my mother (or my grandmother, I can't remember now) in a white
wedding gown the night she had died. In the moslem religion (our
heritage), the dead is buried in a pure white cloth.

Now is a bad time to call the hotel they are staying. Because they
would be normally outside, and can't be reached. So, I am getting
extremely worried with my interpretation of these dreams.

What do you make of them?

I think it's very important to note that now and in your dream your
sister is physically separated from your brother-in-law. I think
you're just worried about your sister and niece as they travel without
him. Are you uneasy about air travel? Is she?
Dreaming their deaths and her wedding is just probably your mind
worrying about all the what ifs...if anything happened to them.
Weddings and funerals recall to us some of our strongest "family group"
    emotional times.
Call her tonight and remind her to wear sunblock. BillM
