    Er um, cough. GMT ceased to exist in reality many years ago. It was
    replaced by UST which comes from an atomic clock somewhere in Germany.

    My watch has a radio link to this clock and it appears to be totally
    unaffected by the time shifts.

    Make no conclusions! I am trying to understand... there is no
    explanation as to what you are discussing...

    Ah! I'm afraid that if you require an explanation, you are incapable of
    understanding the issue at hand.  I think that you are making an
    attempt to make some sense out of it. I doubt if you will succeed.
    Fortunately the designers of Easynotes foresaw this problem and I think
    that if you press the comma key on your numeric keyboard the problem
    will instantly be solved.

    I thought it was quite clear. Jamie, Cindy, and Jay are discussing
    Jamie's nifty chronotoy. I want one also. Marcos is posting stuff he
    receives from someone who channels it through the entity known as
    Ashstar, however the majority of the discussion is still about the
    watch. I have a question on the watch. Some people can't wear watches
    as their internal chemistry, magnetic field, or aura or energy or
    whatever one wishes to call it causes the watch to not keep proper
    time. How would this affect the Atomic Watch? Would it constantly
    correct itself or would it just keep spinning around? Not critical,
    just being curious.

    The watch is not atomic, it is powered by a battery. 

    Essentially it is the front part of a normal watch, and hour hand and a
    minute hand. This is mechanical and is driven by a pulse once a minute
    from the electronic half.

    There is a small LCD showing the day of the month, the month, the
    seconds and the day of the week.

    Do these people have trouble with digital watches?

    Personally I can't get a mechanical self winding watch to keep working
    for more that a week on my wrist. I got one for my 21st and despite
    trying several different types I could not find one that would keep
    running. No other type of watch gives me any trouble.

    It would correct itself when it thought that it was 2 am. But I doubt
    if it would fail.

    I'm sorry I do not know how to find it for you.  But the term

    Jamie, thanks for more info on the watch. My calling it an Atomic Watch
    was a small (very small) attempt at a bit of humor. As far as folks not
    being able to wear digital (not us :-)  ) watches, I'm not sure either.
    
    Marcos, I think a number of us are having some fun with this string
    lately. The poster of the basenote does seem to want some serious
    answers about the Ashtar information. The rest of us have degraded
    (risen?) into downright silliness. Some of us need some silliness right

    Jacqui, the GWB is also mentioned in the Alice Bailey material that she
    channelled and wrote back in the earlier part of this century. 
    However, I have since forgotten what exactly it was that they are.
    Nothing like a bunch of men who get together, smoke cigars, wear funny
    hats and have secret handshakes and moose calls though.  (;^)

    Calling it the GWB tends to come across, to me, as being not very
    diversity-sensitive.  Issues such as these need clarification for
    those of us not in the know so that we don't jump to sometimes rash
    thoughts.

    FWIW, I think the Great White Brotherhood has been talked about in 
    Rosicrucian literature, et al. for a long time. The White in
    Brotherhood, as someone already noted, deals with the white light of
    spirituality, not with any racial connotations anyone may have with
    this. Since this term is quite old, I think, it predates any PC
    issues people may have with it.

    IF people do not challenge statements that appear to have sensi-
    tivity issues related to them and ask for clarification, then
    in some cases there are persons who accept them in the present-

    It was quite interesting to see George Wallace trying to over-
    come his place in history last night on one of the news talk
    shows.  He is known as THE racist leader of the South.  He is
    now apparently getting ready to meet his maker and wants to 
    show the public that his past was in arrears.

    Exactly, Jacqui. People must challenge and not blindly follow. A lot of
    stuff comes through as being rather sinister. Some because it is and
    some because it just sounds that way. When I first heard about GWB, I
    thought of the folks in pointy-headed sheets also. Recently I've been
    reading Journey of Souls. (Author's name escapes me at the moment.)
    It's about people who've been hypnotised as in Past Life Regression,
    but stopped in between lives to describe the Afterlife. He (the author)
    claims to get a lot of striking similarity of experience in his
    subjects stories. He seems to combine some of the myth of "heaven" that
    a lot of us have grown up with along with some Hindu sounding beliefs,
    plus school. Now I was quite put off by the talk of groups of souls not
    associating with other groups. It sounded extremely snobbish in how it
    was described. This may be because "No human words can describe it" or
    it may be outright untruth by the author or it may be our limited human
    understanding. Hey maybe Heaven is really a bunch of snobs sticking
    with specific souls for eternity. (Somehow, I doubt it:-) ) Point is to
    question authority and to alway authorize questioning and you are
    right.

    Just looked through a few Alice Bailey books and couldn't find a direct
    reference to the GWB in the indexes or toc's, but there are entries for
    the Hierarchy and Great White Lodge...it's been a while since I've seen
    the GWB reference itself.  Will keep watch out for it though. 
    
    Y'know...I think the answer lies within this conference...if anyone has
    time, search for author=Lackey...I'm certain I asked Jeff this question
    in the conference since I had the same reaction many years ago and
    think Jeff was the one who mentioned it, hence my association with the

    You have posted only part of Talligai's note.  What is this called ...
    taking it out of context?  I do not know how to get it and put it here
    for everyone to read her entire posting.  It seems to me that you are
    using the part you choose to use for your own benefit and ignoring the
    part that states she (we all) have the ability to transcend our
    physical bodies at will.  Talligai got "raptured up" and "vaporized
    into etheric realms," as you say, at will.  She returns to the physical
    earth plane at will also.
    
    I AM not speaking for Talligai.  I simply read her note 1775 which you
    refer to.

    "Ashtar" is an older deity than the manufactured "Ashtaroth".  Ashtar
    is Ishtar; "Ashtaroth" is the plural of "Ashereh", the Semitic form
    of the name.
