Title: "Psychics help find missing senior citizens"
Date: Mon, 21 Sep 1992 14:01:48 GMT

CHICAGO (UPI) -- Psychics helped family members find an elderly man missing
for 10 days and assisted police searching for a woman found dead who
disappeared from a suburban nursing home eight days ago.

Harvey Shure, 76, was found wandering around an industrial area in
Evanston, north of Chicago, by his son Saturday following the premonition
of a psychic.

Shure, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, apparently just walked away
from his west Rogers Park home Sept. 9, family members said.

He was found huddled behind the Shure Brothers Co., which manufacturers
electronics components, and was hospitalized in fair condition suffering
from dehydration, police said. Shure had no affiliation with the company.

On Friday, Evergreen Park psychic and astrologer Jacki Mari led police to
the badly decomposed body of Vivian Budlane. The 76-year-old woman had been
missing from the Holy Family Villa nursing home in south suburban Lemont
since Sept. 10.

Cook County sheriff's police found Budlane's body in a densely wooded area
less than a half from the nursing home. The 240-acre grounds had been
combed by police, bloodhounds, volunteers, divers and helicopters for more
than a week.

Mari said she picked up a sweater and purse in Budlane's room and had a
strong feeling about burned wood and an abandoned shack.

``I didn't believe she ever left these premises. I said I had to find a
curved road,'' Mari said.

She and a sheriff's department Lt. Peter Staley later found Budlane's
fully, clothed body in a wooded area about 800 feet from the home.

``He was driving down the road by the tree line. I said stop the car, we're
right there,'' Mari said. ``We looked to the right and I thought the
detective was going to pass out. Right there we saw the ruins...of a burned
out building, with the burned wood still there.''

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office scheduled an autopsy Saturday to
determine the cause of death.

Staley refused to give Mari full credit for the discovery.

``The psychic didn't pinpoint...an exact location (of the body),'' Staley
said.

He said a massive foot search of the area where the body was found was
planned as investigators followed up every lead. The discovery was ``a
combination of things,'' he said.

Budlane suffered from Parkinson's disease, was on medication and had
difficulty walking.

Cook County Forest Preserve District police and county sheriff's police
dragged a shallow pond in the woods Sept. 13 for the missing woman, who was
last seen at a piano concert at the nursing home.

Thank you for entering that, Topher. It is interesting (to say the
    least).

Have to give those people credit.. takes some courage to do that.. I'll
bet they get a lot of flack while trying to help.

Does anyone know if Jacki Mari is the same psychic who
worked on the John Wayne Gacey Case?

Reading about Psychic Detectives reminds me of Lennice (a noter
from the past who has done this type of work). Has anyone heard
from her? Is she still in Massachusetts and is she still
    scheduling sessions with "The Guys."

RE: .4 (Joanne)

Her health has unfortunately been a bit rocky of late. She is moving
to New Hampshire from Massachusetts this very week. She just did some
psychic detective work last week, but the results are not in (and may
be confidential in any case). Anyone who would like her new number to
have a friendly chat with her (she could use it) should get in touch
    with me.

    Joanne,

I know that Maryanne MacDonald also still keeps in touch with Lennice.

They do this without meeting the person, seeing a photo of them,
touching a talisman of the person's or getting to know them in any
other way. They just meditate for three or four hours a day building
up billable hours? P.T. Barnum said it best,"There's one born every
    minute!"

We did something like this at the end of the 40-hour Silva Method
course. Working in pairs, one would read from a file card the
subject's name, age, and location. The partner would meditate on that
info and tune into the subject's physical state. Plenty of us discovered
right-on physical problems that the subject had suffered from. Sounds
    weird, maybe, but it worked.

Hey! When we are looking for a new job, we can do this to find out
which company is best for us to join!
