1167.0. "Four Leaf Clovers" by ROYALT::MORRISSEY (Draculette) Thu Nov 09 1989 19:01

    	At the end of this summer my next door neighbor
    	(in and apartment building) mentioned to me that
    	she had found 4 four-leaf clovers in a patch
    	outside of our doors. So I, out of curiosity, went
    	over to this patch of clover (approx. 1' x 2') to see
    	if I could find one for myself. Well lo and behold
    	I also found 4 four-leaf clovers.

    	Anyone know what the odds are of finding 8 four-leaf clovers
    	in one patch of clover?

    Very good odds. Four-leaved clover does tend to grow in patches. I
    remember finding several as a kid, where almost all the leaves were
    four-leaved.

    There was a point in time where I would find zillions of them, and
    amazed everybody around, probably around age 14 or so. I still have a
    lot of them pressed in a photo album somewhere. A lot of them came
    from the same patch, but then, a lot of them didn't.
