| I have been telling everyone in my circle of friends who are into
the spiritual realm of things, that they must see this movie. It
has left such an impact on me, that I'm taking a friend of mine
to see it on Friday which will be my second time.
My perception of the movie is that his hearing voices was his own
inner voice talking to him. Following his intuitive voice is what
lead him on his journeys, which although at the time seemed to make
no sense to him, always revealed their purpose in time. I find
that if I just let my inner voice be heard, following the strongest
feelings that I have, the purposes are always revealed to me. His
visions, channeling and messages all came from within himself.
His all knowing self wanting to heal that part of him that felt
guilt and resentment about an unfinished relationship with his father.
The time travel is something that I don't know if I can actually
write about. I'm not sure I really understand how it works, but
I've done some reading on the process and it seems that past, future
and present are all going on at the same time. Making time travel only
a perception that there is a time difference. I'm sure that somebody
out there can put it into words better than myself.
I think what impacted me most about this movie was the messages
that you don't know what the reasons are that you are driven toward
something until much later. For example, Archie Gram - he saved
Kevin Costner's daughter's life from the experiences that he had
from another lifetime. Although his love was baseball, his calling
was to be a doctor - and in that he saved her life.
I just wish the voices in my head (do they bother you Jodi?) were
as strong as his voice was!
I have been a NOTES reader for six months and have replied only
once. I'm so glad you opened discussion, it has enabled me to respond
to something that touched my life.
Thanks!

I agree....this is a wonderful movie! Those who made it possible
were truly inspired. To me, this movie spoke about the taking of
risks and following our inner guidance, even if the whole world
thinks you are crazy, because this is when miracles happen. And
then it went further, at least for me. Since I work as a medium
I related to this movie in maybe a different way than most. I
interpreted the voice talking to him as a voice from the spirit,
not only an inner guidance voice. This movie, in a very gentle
and beautiful way, presents a new way of looking at our world and
at life. We continue on after we die and our ability to communicate
with each other is very real. I know this because I have been able
and privileged to bring messages to people in the body from those
in the spirit. Healing of deep and painful wounds can take place
in this process, as this movie so beautifully states. And you
really don't need a medium to do this because it is a simple process
of just reaching out in thought and emotion and sharing with the
person in spirit. And then trust that they have received it.
This movie touched me both personally (my mother and father are
in spirit) and in regard to my work as a medium. I encourage you
all to see it.
