991.0. "VISION I HAD 4 YEARS AGO..." by FSHQA2::DROGER () Mon Feb 20 1989 15:23

This happened about 4 years ago. I was at work (DEC) and out of
nowhere I had this thought (vision) of an DEC acquaintance vomiting
in her wastebasket. This person's desk was almost directly above me....
I was on the first floor, she was on the second floor. Anyway,
when this vision came it sort of caught my attention because I couldn't
for the life of me understand why I would be thinking of this person
to begin with and why I would be thinking of this person vomiting
into a wastebasket. It all seemed rather strange. Anyway, the
very next day I was talking with this person's mother who also works
in DEC. We were talking about general things when all of a sudden
she mentioned to me that her daughter wasn't feeling very well the
day prior and had vomitted into her wastebasket. Well, you can
imagine how shocked I was. I didn't tell her of my vision because
it was as if I almost didn't believe what I just heard her say.
It took a few moments later for me to realize that I didn't just
imagine all of this and indeed she did say what I thought she had
    said.

Over the weekend, friends of mine were discussing weird dreams they
had had etc. and this popped into my mind. I shared it with them
and they definitely thought it was strange. So, I decided to share
it with you all. (Sorry if some of you are eating lunch right now...I
know the subject matter is a little distasteful).

    Any thoughts, similar experiences?

Not a very appetizing vision, to be sure. 8^). I think we are
all psychic to some degree, or maybe a better way of putting
it would be we all have some capability to recieve some
impressions. This ability probably ebbs and flows, much as
human emotions do. (I believe both emotions and psychic powers
are manifestations of a type of energy too fine to be detected
by modern science.) Perhaps you were in a mode of heightened
sensitivity, without realizing it, and therefore picked up
on a strong emotion - anguish at being sick - of a fellow
    	employee.

991.2AM I PSYCHIC???FSHQA1::DROGERThu Mar 09 1989 15:4630
    Neal,

I wasn't sure if I would get any responses to my note...I guess
the topic is not very appealing to most people. I've had many
experiences where I've had visions of something out of the ordinary
and then a few days later get confirmation of my vision. Example:
One day I had this vision of 2 airplanes in mid-air. One was refueling
the other plane. I wasn't sure why I had this vision but I do remember
thinking "wow, I wonder if they can do this in mid-air?" Well,
a few days later on the front page of a newspaper were these 2
airplanes shown in mid-air...one was refueling the other. The
photograph was just like my 'vision'.

I know that I'm psychic to some degree! When I was younger things
like this would happen often. Now that I'm older they don't happen
very often at all. I believe it has to do with the fact that I'm
usually not relaxed enough due to the everyday stresses in my life.
I've been considering meditating but haven't attempted it yet!
I believe that if I were more in-tune with myself through meditation
I would probably be able to focus in on my psychic ability more
    often.

Thanks for showing interest to my first note!
